I have to remind myself often that there is no perfect way, perfect time or perfect plan.
There is only untapped potential, exponential passion and unwavering resolve to rely on.
And all of that is found within me; and you.
All these fitness chicks are coping that theyโre still that hot at 35
No ladies - you canโt be that hot at 35.
22 year olds will outcompete you. Donโt shoot the message
Every Wife wants one but sheโs too polite to say otherwise.
She wants a unit. A beast. A Man that makes the Ladies at the school gate blush.
The world needs more men to be Men.
After a decade of 5 pregnancies & 3 births I just wanted to get really strong again.
Toning up or losing weight was never a motivation. I knew it would be a by-product of strength gains.

10 years ago the gap in fitness between others & me was minor.
Now at 44yrs the gap is painstakingly obvious.
I expect this gap to widen even more as I head towards 50yrs.
The condition Iโm in today is from 2 strength sessions a week post-natal.
Not 5 days, not 4 days, just

I was lucky to lose the ability to walk when my back was fractured in May.
My husband had to carry me to the bathroom. I cried. Freaked out. โWhat ifsโ flooded my mind.
Now I get to walk. I get to stand. I get to run. I get to step up with weights & feel the strength in my

But
My daughter (10yrs) came out of her bedroom this morning & then did 10 Squats & 10 Pushups before she started brushing her hair.
They. Watch. Everything.
My body is perfect.
It has 206 bones & >600 muscles that help me move, run, play, f*ck, & compete in sports.
It has softness in all the right places for my own pleasure.
It has a mind to wander, think & dream.

Women; Hereโs 5 mindset shifts to accelerate your fitness ๐
1. F*k the scales. Itโs a number. Whatever.
Tell me instead how many push-ups you want to do, full range, nips to the floor.
That. Is. Way. More. Exciting.
Dear Moms,
Before you had your kids you were a feisty, fun & playful Woman.
Never let tiredness be the death of that Woman.

I have a theory.
Couples that train together enjoy more s*x together.
Why?
1. Effort is attractive and seeing your partner sweat & exert builds on desire.
When you workout solo or with other people your partner does not see the real effort youโve put in.
But when you see

5 pregnancies
2 miscarriages
43 push-ups straight

Data I donโt care about: The calories I consume or numbers on the scales.

Iโm 44yrs, had 3 kids & never counted calories to โget back into shape.โ

Focused on getting stronger again.
Why?

Strength Training 101 for Women ๐
~ Choose compound lifts over isolated. Youโll apply a bigger stimulus to your body which means a greater workload.
- Train 2x weekly. Sure you can do a 3rd but itโs not going to add that much more bang for your time.
- Train hard. Full range
When she was 2yrs old I made cupcakes with her & she couldnโt care less.
She walked out and played & I was utterly confused.
I loved cooking which meant my daughter should love it too right?
Wrong. I was so wrong.
As a parent I thought my hobbies would become her hobbies.
My 13yr old daughter has her first bikini. Sheโs grown from a naive young girl to aware of her body tween.
She asked me if she has a โgood butt.โ
I paused.
I donโt want her to worry about her looks but telling her โnot to worryโ is not giving her a framework to navigate her
You donโt get what you work hard for in life.
You get what you tolerate when the sh*t hits the fan.
Raise your standards & youโll lower your tolerance for drama, blame, denial, indifference & comfort.
Your standards matter.

40yrs vs 44yrs
The best lever for women postnatal is strength training.
โข Lift weights 2ร wkly + eat adequate protein.
โข Intermittent fast instead of counting calories.
โข Never buy into 'I'm too tiredโ. YOU created life & are formidable.
Go. Get. Strong.

4 yrs ago I โstarted againโ post-natal. I was 40yrs old & just had my 3rd baby.
I started small & simple ๐
- 2 strength sess
- Low level cardio
- Slowly added HIT
Never underestimate how simple the process is.
And never underestimate yourself.

After my first baby, I wanted to compete in Triathlon again so I waited 3 months and than ran 500m.
After my 2nd it was a blur with back to back pregnancies & I aimed for walks.
After my 3rd it was pushups on my knees in the bedroom.
Choose messy starts over perfect plans.
Do not underestimate whatโs possible in your next decade.

My Before & After story relies on one simple thing most folk struggle with ๐
Consistency.
Hereโs my journey from 40yrs pregnant to 44yrs fit & how I eliminated my ego in the โgetting startedโ phase.
1. I chose messy starts > perfect plans.
Quite surreal for me that 25% of my life has been dedicated towards making humans.
~ 10yrs with 5 pregnancies & 3 kids later.
Optimum fitness is achievable, but requires zero ego & an abundance of self-belief + work.
Women have been conditioned to โpunishโ themselves with exercise & that self-pleasure is a dirty word.
Why not love yourself hard & enjoy whatโs yours when you want?

Just a short 2 years lifting twice weekly.
Zero calorie counting but a big focus on protein.
Form first THEN intensity in sessions.
Cardio (bike or run) a few times a week as well.
Above all else; CONSISTENCY.
The thing that I love about training is that I can rely on it.
Whether I feel like it or not, it will provide solace for me to just be with my body and escape all the noise in the world.
Men, if youโre not leading in the gym, then Iโm sorry but youโre not a Man.
Physical dominance was a gift you were given at birth.

Why am I doing this?!
Because I want a big, deep & fun life & that wonโt happen without focus & imagination.
