We learnt to abound and abase together as a family. We carry each other’s burdens even now that I have my own wife and kids. I found so much safety in my parents- when I failed a course in school, my dad was the first person I called (like in front of the notice board)

They were proper loved at home while growing up. My grandpa, Uncles, aunties and cousins have taken me to school at different times. I’m not sure I am less independent because my parents dropped and picked me up from school everyday or from my GCE and Jamb centers.

I will also enjoy all the benefits that come from those relationships too. My younger brother still calls me to ask if I can drive him to some places. My daughters are very much loved by their grandparents, uncles and aunties. And no one hesitates to show the love.

Yesterday night, My Landlord and I sat outside his house till almost 11pm talking about a wide range of things- our Estate stickers, OBMS, Ogbomoso, CBN, how my car was chopping too much fuel, airlines, tilers until I began to doze off. Really good feeling.
