I met a revert today in the prayer room. In the space of 30 mins, she told me her life story. Where she studied, when she took her shahadah, her umrah plans for next month, and how she met her spouse. The man she spoke to said he doesn't date; he only does nikhah.

When I was younger, I never used to understand why some people spent so long in Sajdah. Subhana rabi al alla only takes a minimum of 3–5 seconds. The older I got, the more I understood just how comforting that position is.

I visited the opticians today and was told that I have 20/20 vision Alhamdulillah. It was only a few years ago that I was glued to my specs. So what changed? I stopped wearing my glasses, started doing eye exercises, and incorporated this dua whenever I could.

Death does not discriminate. Today I witnessed three carts full of dead bodies. We offered janazah prayer for the young, the old, the healthy, and the sick. It was a humbling experience and a huge wake up call. This dunyas far too short to be waasting it.

It's possible that you're making dua, but the dua itself contradicts everything you ask for. Much like having faith and tying the camel, when you make dua, you also need to do your part. Asking for a righteous spouse but living an indecent life goes against the Ayah 24:26
