This is simply a misinterpretation of this panel. It's explicitly stated that Gojo sees ce in great detail even when he has his blindfold on. Additionally , he could see and react to the slashes in chapter 2 by turning his Infinity on.

Cleave is SIGNIFICANTLY stronger than a Dismantle ( showings against Ryu ). a Cleave from this Sukuna did surface level damage to Yuta. Dismantle to go from not even hurting Yuta to being able to go through his body doesn't make sense cuz chants are NOT that big of an amp
