Ryan Day hired a private investigator to dig up dirt on Michigan and lost to an interim head coach anyway and now is about to be indicted on RICO charges. Sad.

At the end of The Great Gatsby, the words “Based on the novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald” flashed onscreen.
Guy in front of me turns to his wife and goes “Ohhh. It was a novel!”
This is exactly it. If it was illegal for Stalions to deputize his cousin or whatever to go scout games in-person and steal signs, it’s illegal for Purdue to deputize some OSU staffer to do the same thing.
there's literally nothing in the scouting bylaws about "electronics," "filming," etc.; if sharing/receiving signs that were scouted in-person is legal, then what Michigan/Stalions is broadly accused of is also legal, because they're the same. can't have it both ways.

“Let go a little. Turn in an assignment late or don’t turn it in at all. Don’t listen to the people who tell you ‘we should implement a basic system of internal controls’ or ‘Caroline where has the money gone’ or ‘you can’t just steal $8B of customer deposits.’ Watch New Girl.”
My position on this Big Ten restart is it's a terrible mis-prioritization of testing resources to have amateur athletes traversing the country to play football during a pandemic while students are stuck either in remote classes or going untested. But woo, football.
Weiser has a fiduciary duty to the University of Michigan that he clearly doesn't take seriously; he would choose the GOP over U of M 100% of the time.
He should resign immediately.
University of Michigan Regent Ron Weiser says he doesn't know if Trump incited mob: "I didn't read any of that stuff, and I didn't watch television. I watched Michigan destroy Minnesota in basketball, and that kind of contest is something that I strongly support."
Jim Harbaugh doesn't believe the COVID experts!

Whoa whoa, that took off, what I mean to say was Jim Harbaugh DOES believe the COVID experts

All this talk from fans about "betrayal" and "zero loyalty" makes my blood boil. Am I disappointed in the Beilein news? Yes. Is there a huge level of uncertainty going forward? Yes. Did he stab Michigan in the back? Hell no. Get over yourself if you think that.
The trash talk has been muted this week because deep down we all know dantonio would absolutely tank an entire season and his career reputation just to catch Michigan off guard, dude is psycho like that

Counterpoint, you are an economics reporter and have tweeted about CHIPS twice before — and one of those times was about potato chips?
The only problem with beating Indiana so thoroughly is it slightly increases the chances of Archie Miller being replaced by John Beilein next season. Hang on there Archie!
President tries to fire coach, regents threaten to fire president if he fires coach, governor threatens to fire regents if they fire the president for firing the coach. Finally, coach fired.
Did I get that right?
This....is actually a good idea and allows people to sample different bagel types while also improving the bread-to-cream cheese ratio.
I will not be reading any replies.
A dark secret of mine is that I don’t really know basketball ref hand signals and so I rely on the crowd reaction to tell me whether to be happy or sad about foul calls. Not having a crowd to inform me is the hardest part of pandemic basketball watching

After spending 90 minutes crying to the commissioner to stop big bad Michigan, Ryan Day hung up the phone and called Pete Thamel and told him everyone else totally agrees with him too
Sources: On a Big Ten coaches call on Thursday, a vast majority of the league’s coaches encouraged commissioner Tony Petitti to punish Michigan amid its NCAA sign-stealing investigation. “Collectively, the coaches want the Big Ten to act,” per ESPN source.
Winston, continued: "[Henry’s] a freshman and playing on a top-whatever team, and he’s got all these expectations and things like that. Ain’t no telling what’s going through his head, so I just felt like at that moment, I could get the message to him better.” (3/4)
One of my favorite scenes from All or Nothing was Mo Hurst driving Uber and picking up this kid who was like “lol yeah I think you guys suck this year” and Hurst just smiled and dropped him off and wished him well. I love Mo Hurst.
After sliding to 5th round because of heart concerns Mo Hurst joked he might have to keep driving for Uber to make up for lost money he would have gotten as first rounder
I hope the Board of Regents includes student representation on the search committee in this next presidential search. They did not in the 2013/14 search that culminated in Schlissel’s hiring.
