Call me crazy, but all of this turmoil around Twitter, Facebook, etc., actually bolsters WordPress’s position as an open-source platform, as an ecosystem, and a community. As these platforms come and go, more and more people will come back around to controlling their destiny.

I often run into websites that are running WordPress themes that I created almost a decade ago (and they still look great). They’re probably on hundreds of thousands of websites at this point. The reach and distribution of open source is hard to beat.

@FlowoutHQ @AiDigitalMktg “WordPress is dead” lol no. And much of the other commentary is, unfortunately, woefully inaccurate as well. Props to Webflow for carving out their own space, but if you think it’s going to overtake WordPress *ever*, you don’t understand the scale or direction of modern WP.

(4/4) Anyone who thinks the WordPress market is saturated hasn’t been paying attention since December 6th, 2018, when WordPress switched on a JavaScript engine. A small team with design, React, and WordPress knowledge could carve out multi-million dollar products in short order.

I’ve had fun building some small landing pages in WordPress’s full-site editing. These were both made entirely in the editor with little-to-no 3rd party tools or custom CSS. And they took maybe an hour combined. 🆒 👓 🍔
