Excited to share my new project! Introducing Lobe, an easy-to-use visual tool that lets you build, train, and ship custom deep learning models without writing code.
Feeling grateful to have collaborated with and learned from so many wonderful people and projects over the years. Enjoyed reflecting on these while creating this timeline of my work. Give it a swipe…
Make Something Wonderful. Read the new online book we designed at LoveFrom with the Steve Jobs Archive. — “Think of your life as a rainbow arcing across the horizon of this world. You appear, have a chance to blaze in the sky, then you disappear.”
Today I’m excited to launch a public preview of the new Lobe! Everything you need to train custom machine learning models in a free, easy to use app. Check it out!
I'm excited to announce that Lobe is being acquired by Microsoft! Their focus on AI research, global infrastructure, and developer tools will help ensure Lobe is able to scale to its full potential. The team is growing and working on some amazing stuff!
Watching our rooftop Nest Cam this evening as flames came over the ridge a mile away from our house. Then the 747 Supertanker came out of nowhere and knocked them back.
The best I’ve felt all day. 🙏

Enjoyed spending 2020 quarantined with this pod and launching my startup Lobe. I’m planning on taking a break from work in 2021 to spend more time with our girls and garden before diving into my next project.
Inspired by all the amazing deep learning app ideas submitted by the over 10k developers who signed up for the beta last week. Overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response. Thank you! 🙏
Lobe is hiring! I'm looking for UI Designers who are excited to help define the future of how people train and interact with machine learning. DM me if you're interested. 👉
"Despite the complexities of video editing and sound design, we have UIs that let even a curious kid dabble in them — why not with machine learning? That’s the goal of Lobe."
This evening the evacuation order was lifted on our side of Healdsburg and we were able to return home. The fire can still be seen burning in the hills through binoculars but things are looking a lot better.
Hoping the rest of our community can come home soon. 🤞

“If AI really is going to change the world, then it seems obvious that the more people who get involved, the better, especially people outside the tech world. With that in mind, Lobe looks like a perfect recruitment tool for a machine learning revolution.”
Designers can now train custom machine learning models with and use them to create intelligent prototypes in

. Looking forward to seeing the idea that come out of this! ✨
Had a lot of fun designing with
@RamonGilabert
! We worked remotely in opposite timezones overlapping for a few hours each day to collaborate so design never stopped. 🔃
✨ I am extremely excited to be showing you the new Lobe. An app that has everything you need to train machine learning models on your own computer for free! Check it out 👇
