The Midlands Air Festival is delighted to have been chosen by Rolls Royce to showcase two immaculately restored WW2 fighter aircraft of its Heritage Flight.
The first is the Supermarine Mk19 Spitfire!
Well the team at The Midlands Air Festival did warn you that we had another big announcement to come and this is it! On Sunday 4th June the mighty Draken Jet Fighter of the Swedish Airforce Historic Flight, will headline the Festival!

The RAF Red Arrows have returned to the UK following their successful spring training overseas. The new 8 ship team are now preparing for this coming weekend and their first 2 UK displays of the season, right here at the Midlands Air Festival!

Our Saturday tickets are now all sold, but that doesn’t mean you cannot still join us for a fantastic day out! Friday sees the first Red Arrows display of 2021 featuring all of their new formations as well as our signature Nightfire!
Avro Lancaster of the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial flight.
This historic big bird will be displaying on all three days of the Festival. It will make a solo appearance on our Friday Nightfire show, then on Saturday and Sunday will be joined by the Spitfire and Hurricane.
Peter Teichman has just confirmed that he will be making his first public display in the newly restored ‘Russian Supermarine Spitfire PT879 ’ at the Midlands Air Festival. Tickets are running out fast for this fantastic show, get yours now!

There will be a distinctly different sound at this year’s festival as pilot Tony de Bruyn winds up his two Garret T76 turboprop engines on the superb North American Rockwell Bronco OV10 light attack and observation aircraft.

Great news!! We are adding a stunning Folland Gnat to our jet finale on Saturday and Sunday!! The Folland Gnat was an advanced jet trainer and light attack aircraft. It was used by the RAF Red Arrows for some years before they progressed to their current aircraft, the BAE Hawk!

The Midlands Air Festival is delighted to announce that the dates for the 2025 Festival will be 30th May - 1 June. Priority tickets for our Friends of the Festival will be on sale from 8th August and general ticket sales will commence on 1st September!

are painted red for health and safety reasons. Red being most visible in the sky, although officially it is in tribute to the Red Pelicans, their predecessors as an air aerobatic team.

Latest ballooning news - We welcome what is believed to be the largest flying special shape balloon in the world, the Superbike! Weighing in at 650kg, this enormous balloon is a mind blowing 315,000cuft of hot air!

Our B17G Flying Fortress ‘Sally B’ is the last airworthy B17 in Europe and kept in the UK skies by Elly Sallingboe and her team for nearly 50 years. B17’s were the mainstay of the US daylight Bomber campaign in WW2. The B17 entered service in 1937 and carried a 6,000lb bomb load.

Continuing our RAF line up is the Grob Tutor! This aircraft is used to provide air experience flights and elementary flight training for University Squadrons, RAF Cadets and entry level pilots who will be starting their flying career with the Royal Air Force.
