offers a meditative epilogue for Breaking Bad that feels less like a sequel and more like torn out pages from the original story. Aaron Paul is a silent joy and Vince Gilligan’s direction remains as sharp as ever. The cohesion here is remarkable. Review forthcoming.

the only pattern i see is a reality that hollywood and distributors need to accept: less is more. invest in 20-30-40M movies again and lower your ceilings. but that's like asking this country to create industries and focus on class issues.
“The Fall Guy” not doing all that well, “If” not doing all that well, “Furiosa” not doing all that well, “Garfield” not doing all that well… you know what this means for the Deadpool movie right? Are you following this trend? Are you seeing the pattern?
it's now clear to me that too many fans want TERMINATOR HALLOWEEN again and again and again. has always been my least favorite aspect of this franchise, and for DGG to revisit the human elements of the first one was exactly the "back to basics" approach we were sold on in 2018.
Rare is a third chapter this compelling, this affecting, and this integral.
#StrangerThings
3 is a testament to the Duffer brothers' creative vision. They are true dungeon masters of story and character. My (rather lengthy) review:
Chadwick Boseman died on Jackie Robinson Day, Jack Kirby's birthday, a day removed from the anniversary of James Brown's final studio album, and two days removed from the anniversary of when Thurgood Marshall first took office as Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the US.
Today was my last day at Consequence. It's been a hell of a ride, one I'll cherish forever. I'm leaving to pursue my increasing interest in audio/video and I look forward to an exciting future in production. To borrow from my favorite John Ritter film: Stay tuned.
Out of all the '90s teen horror flicks, I'm gonna go out on a limb and name THE FACULTY as the most rewatchable of the bunch. Killer soundtrack, perfect adult/teen cast, and Josh Harnett is just operating on Christian Slater levels of cool. I'll never get tired of it.

@SenatorDole
One for the ages? Yes, Mr. Dole, when Trump is written in history books as a traitor and fraud and a total embarrassment to the world.
The one and only

Whoooooooooo cares!!! The world is much bigger than your bullshit agenda to keep your ego inflated. Just resign already. Go back to NBC.

Your son's actions aren't "Fake News" just as your treasonous crimes aren't "Fake News". The faster this country learns this the better.
on some days, im convinced i've wasted the last 15 years of my life on pop culture. yet, on most days, im just thinking about why mcdonalds hasnt brought back those halloween buckets.
@realDonaldTrump
Define "good healthcare," Donny. You and your spineless Republicans can't even reveal your own proper plan. You're a joke. You all are!
GREMLINS doesn't get enough love for being the best goddamn Christmas movie out there. Horror just sometimes hits harder when it has some heart. RT if you also love GREMLINS.
i know there are myriad reasons for the box office underperforming but this longtime moviegoer is done spending 30 bucks to sit next to complete fucking idiots.
This news stings. I can't even begin to describe how much I've loved writing about this show for the last few years over at
@AVTVClub
. It was a great escape for the ugly times, and, like the movies, will continue to be one in the years to come.
Excellent piece by

on what's haunting about The Haunting of Bly Manor. Not surprised given that she is a

V/H/S/85: strongest entry in the franchise. original, unpredictable, & terrifying. derrickson distills a feature into a gripping, grueling short; guerrero plunges into history horror; bruckner, kermani, & nelson nail the era to a tee. one of the finest slices of horror this year.
The only thing I really wanted from
#DialOfDestiny
was a new proper ending for
#IndianaJones
and I always had faith in
@mang0ld
to find that final chapter. He delivered a poignant entry that I just didn’t know could exist post-Last Crusade. Can’t wait to see it again.
@realDonaldTrump
Our blood will be on your hands, you swine. You and your bastard Republicans are playing a revenge game with people's lives. Despicable.
Roddy McDowall is unfuckingbelievable in CLASS OF 84. What a hypnotically tragic role. So much rage and pathos colliding at once. Palpable frustrations that make his arc all the more harrowing.

saving my thoughts for
@HalloweeniesPod
, but ill say this:
#ScreamVI
is why horror belongs in theaters. lots of inventive set pieces that call back to the hold-your-breath, squeeze-your-seat tension that defined this franchise from the get-go. think: police car in scream 2.
Never forget. Never forget. Never forget. Never forget. Never forget. Never forget. Never forget. Never forget. Never forget. Never forget. Never forget. Never forget.

Last week, I spoke with
@TheRealElvira
about, well, pretty much everything. From the comforting effect of horror to Netflix's Tiger King to all kinds of great rock 'n' roll chatter. One of my favorite interviews ever:

's Filmmaker of the Year is Quentin Tarantino. On Monday, I sat down with the legendary filmmaker to talk about how he picks the right story, our current era of streaming, wishful casting, and, yes, the Halloween franchise. Bucket list moment.
@realDonaldTrump
Your dickhead party consistently refuses to help and work with the Democrats. More hypocrisy from our Toddler in Chief, our pathetic pig.
CLASS OF 1984 was exactly the kind of satisfying and shocking midnight gem I wanted tonight. I was literally punching the air and cheering at my screen in the last 10 mins. So wired now! One of my favorite first-time watches at

I was intrigued by Todd Phillips' Joker, now the film is slotted right behind Once Upon a Time in Hollywood as most anticipated of the year. This sounds like such a great turn for comic book IP, and I love the idea of this being a one-off. Yes. More of this. Please.
@realDonaldTrump
And yet that seems to implicate you even more! Sigh. It's baffling your idiot administration lets you run your idiot mouth nonstop on here.
A Schitt's Creek sweep is not only deserved but earned. This series was an underdog forever and has been such a game changer for the comedy genre. Love these wins, and wouldn't be the least bit upset if it won everything.

Kudos to
@BDisgusting
for continuing to be a trendsetter for the industry. The people were always listening, the studios are now, too. So fucking cool.
In 25 years, we’ll still be talking about
@JanelleMonae
. I can’t say the same for the majority of this lineup. She’s so ahead of the game. On every platform. “I wish I had more time,” she said. In a perfect world, she’s headlining with two full hours.

I miss the Fridays when I'd come home from school, bike to Blockbuster, buy a bunch of candy, rent a ton of horror movies, and watch all three of them in a row with the lights off. Actually, scratch that. I still do that. Just swap Blockbuster with
