Ending 2023 on a high note where I'm proud to announce that I will be in charge of sports-related questions in Linköping FC from next year and onwards.
It's been a couple of months with new signings in, players leaving, new coaches/management but, here we are - role on 2024!
These two men have underestimated the power of the community in women's football.
Sadly, they are not the only ones to hold powerful positions that do that and it's not only in Spanish women's football that happens.
PROTECT THE PLAYERS.
NEVER protect or defend perpetrators.
To everyone that is interacting in my tweets now trying to convince me that Luis Rubiales and Jorge Vilda have done nothing wrong and that Vilda deserves credit for winning the World Cup:
If you don’t see the problem - YOU ARE A BIG PART OF THE PROBLEM YOURSELF!

Its horrible and unaccaptable. I can’t understand how it can happen and to me it feels really weird. I want the whole world to react and I want something to happen cause its clear that there are problems in RFEF. If people think it’s
Hey this shirt is very, very nice. Too bad you can’t buy it. Not even before, during or after a World Cup that created a new piece of history to add in women’s football that is the most growing sport in the world at the moment.
Justice for all the goalkeepers!
I’m sick of comments that point out that women’s games get sold out because the ticket price is lower than for a men’s game. Why can’t we just enjoy the fact that people want to watch women’s football because it’s a GREAT product?
Imagine this now:
Next year’s Ballon D’Or ceremony is held during the men’s international break so that the men will have to travel back and forth when playing an important, let’s say Olympic qualifier in the UEFA Nations League.
It’s easy to NOT talk about players that aren’t here to play in the World Cup. I know that is what RFEF and Jorge Vilda want. To NOT mention players that aren’t here.
But we NEED to talk talk about them. Problems don’t just magically disappear.
Mapi. Patri. Paños.
Sweden's captain Kosovare Asllani has confirmed at the MD-1 press conference that Sweden will show their support, TOGETHER with the Spanish players, tomorrow at the game.
Asllani also said she's very passionate about these issues and that "it is starting a fire inside of me."
Montse Tomé has shown she is a big part of the issues within the RFEF if the players did not know they were being called up.
Her career as the Spanish head coach, if true, is over before it started. She has already shown how willing she is to ’protect’ her players…
It's OK to be disappointed but stop calling the
#SWE
national team players terrible footballers. They aren't terrible. They are great. They just couldn't make it happen in this tournament.
Congrats

Irene Paredes approached fans in the stands after the game against FC Rosengård and signed a shirt. And then the little girl got a hug. This picture shows what it meant to her.
So, Chelsea and Liverpool had to play football on an ice-hockey rink yesterday in the WSL and in Spain Barcelona weren’t given a proper award ceremony after winning the

final.
There’s still work to do.
2023 - here we go!
I must say this; can you believe the fact that one is able to watch EVERY single match in the
#WEURO2022
on TV? Like FINALLY. No more searching the net after dodgy streams... Long live the women’s game!
Jorge Vilda opts not to answer the first question asked to him at the MD -1 press conference.
The question referred to how he was managing the “issues” off of the pitch.
His response: “next question please”
That Pernille Harder today won her 9th league title in a row, and that she has done it woth 4 different clubs, across three different leagues in Europe…
That’s something else.
To ALL countries/regions and people that claim:
"We must respect the culture and laws of a country we visit."
Being gay is not a culture; love has never been, can't ever be and IS NOT a crime.
This is insane… how can you threaten your own player like this…😳
call them to the national team, when they said they want clear changes before they come back!
this is soooo disrespectful…
clearly they don’t care… and they dont allow them to make their own decision 😔
"It’s just my hypothesis, but I wonder whether women players might be less fragile if we’d received better medical attention early in our careers. It doesn’t help that all the research has been based on men’s bodies."

Alexia Putellas said that there will be a ’before this day’ and an ’after this day’ for the women’s game. I think she is right so I want to remember it.

Belgium and Germany men's teams will wear their respective women's teams shirts in their next

match.
The iniative is to gain some attention on

and also for Belgium; to mark the development in Belgian women's football.
QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"I have seen more animals than people here," says Kosovare Asllani to SVT Sport when talking about the location and the choice of the stadium for the game between Italy and Sweden in the UEFA Nations League.
Alexia Putellas writes history when she becomes the first women’s footballer to win the Ballon d’Or back to back.
Also a reminder, that the world’s best midfielder is, as it stands, not a part of her country’s national team…
Imagine how many yellow cards there would have been in the Women’s Euro2022…
Men’s football has really become an ugly place where they could pick up so many good things and learn SO much from the women’s game.
FIFA have told Belgium to remove the word 'Love' from their away kit, which also includes rainbow trim.
Belgium say they will wear their red kit for all group-stage games and deal with the situation if they go through.
The report from NWSL should be an eye opener to all federations and leagues across the world. Can RFEF 🇪🇸 really play the silent card now? Especially when Spanish media is starting to report about Jorge Vilda being abnormally ”controlling”…
Not the perfect timing RFEF...
15 players + Irene Paredes (and Alexia Putellas who's injured) from the Spanish national women's team are not a part of the team in this break.
I'll just leave this here.

This must be said:
Every single one of the Spanish players that are fighting this battle at the moment are heroes.
Here we can really talk about paving a SAFE way and future for the generations to come. Hopefully not just in their own country but, over the world.

Swedish women’s top-flight football right now. Over 18.000 tickets sold for the game between Hammarby and AIK. Right now at Tele 2 Arena in Stockholm. Magic!
Because Jorge Vilda and the RFEF don’t want to focus on the players that are not there during this break don’t mean that media and other should stay silent. Those missing players should be all we should talk about. Stay silent won’t help.
Zećira Mušović coming on as a goalkeeper, in this situation; acting like she’s never been the second choice. Cool as ice. Taking huge steps in her development and shows the world that she is here to stay. I like it. And we all love to see it.
That's another big blow in women's football
Two of the world's best players are out with different injuries that will keep them sidelined for months.
Pernille Harder and Beth Mead. Sad times.
Fingers crossed for speedy and successful recoveries.

Aitana Bonmatí waited 20 minutes to get the opportunity to exchange shirts with Pernille Harder after the match between Denmark and Spain tonight
Two BIG stars in the bright women’s football sky
Fridolina Rolfö says that ”excluding the players from the Spanish national is not the longterm solution” when speaking about her teammates situation. She also says that she doesn’t understand the RFEF’s approach at all and that she’s backing the players 100 %.
It looks like the RFEF really do care about bad results in their national team for men.
I wonder if they will make that a principle and practise equality 100 % so it can be applied to their women's team too.
5000 at the Emirates today watching Arsenal vs Wolfsburg. 13000 at the Allianz yesterday for Bayern vs PSG. Come on English football fans, you can do better than this 🧐
Caroline Graham Hansen says she feels that 🇳🇴 is seen as a team that complains and whines:
”In general I feel it's a bit like that if a man says that he's not satisfied, it's taken as constructive criticism, but if a woman says it’s enough, it’s complaining and whining.”

34000 tickets are sold for the game at Friends Arena in Stockholm between Sweden and Brazil tomorrow night. Incoming record in attendance in Swedish women’s football? YES
🇸🇪 Jonna Andersson, Magdalena Eriksson, Zećira Mušović become Champions of England - AGAIN 🏆
And…Pernille Harder gets her 7th European League title from playing in three different clubs - IN A ROW.
I do like that Swedish media talks about the Euro this summer in terms of the UEFA Euro 2022. Not in terms of the UEFA Women's Euro.
It might be a small thing. But it's nice.
9️⃣1️⃣.6️⃣4️⃣8️⃣ in attendance.
Take a bow. Must be a joy for Barcalena supporters to have at least one of their senior elite teams that win and perform consistently. Women’s football guys. Women’s football.
Let’s face it. Football (and the world in general) has a LONG way to go and there is hard, hard work to do when it comes to let people just be themselves and love whoever they want. Making jokes about it does NOT help.
This season's lesson in attendance within women's football:
We don't need to care about people that don't care anymore. They can go and 'don't care' somewhere else.
The revolution is here. To stay for good this time.
