Couldn't help but wish that 28 yrs ago, former linesman Kevin Collins had seen last night's spot on non-icing call in the waning seconds. Collins took years off my life not once but twice by calling icing even though the Canucks had stopped skating back for the touch-up. 🙄

What a glorious day, literally "snowing" in Lower Manhattan! I remember coming into work after #NYR won the Cup, my boss looked at me & said "U want Friday off, huh?" Man, was he ever right! Whatta spectacular day! Only time I ever wore my jersey in 90° heat. But so worth it! 🥳

Could not agree more. So many things set @Sportsnet apart from @espn . After the goal, just one line of dialogue then nothing but soaking in the moment right along with the crowd/goal song. And fewer "drama" shots of the losing team. Night and day better coverage! 🥳🏒💙

Still on such a high from yesterday's win. Incredible 180 from how they looked early on. And as amazing as Mika/Bread's goals were, gotta say how HUGELY impressed I was w/our puck retrieval on those late PPs. I don't think I've EVER seen our top unit play w/such *grit* on a PP 😲

ICYDK, Rule 63.7: if the goal post is displaced either deliberately or accidentally by a D player b4 the puck crossed the goal line b/w the normal position of the goalposts the Ref may award a goal if the attacking player had an imminent scoring opp. b4 the net was displaced.

Almost forgot. Right after our standard photo together, I quickly took off my jersey to reveal the Now I Can Die In Peace T-shirt I had on. I bought it at the '94 #NYR Stanley Cup Canyon of Heroes Parade. Brian laughed when he saw it & said: "Yup! I feel the exact same way!!" 😂

I thought that was cool to hear about Quick, too. It's funny b/c at one point last night, I actually commented how weird it's been not to have talked about Quick at all for almost 2 weeks, which didn't happen at any point this szn. So great to know he's still having an impact. 💙

Schmid obviously did a good job, but I would be much more impressed with him if he had to make even half as many ridiculous saves as Igor did. Rangers barely tested him at all re: screen shots, traffic in front, mixing up shot location, any of that. 😞

Quick was phenomenal, Bread came thru again & Laffy sealed it. But I was REALLY impressed w/Jones' play! That game vs OTT has shot his confidence thru the roof. Head up all the time. Smartly aggressive. Defensive responsible. Just playing with all sorts of confidence. Love it!

Got an amazing, early birthday surprise from my 4 yr old grandniece: a Funfetti @NYRangers Birthday Cake! 🎂🏒🥳 Not only did she make the cake, but she methodically separated out the red & blue sprinkles from the other colors to highlight the #NYR motif. So sweet. 🥳🏒💙🎂❤️

Yes, it's only 1 game, but Drury TDL decisions looking shrewd so far. Wennberg/Roslovic with VERY strong debuts, Kakko stays in NY and scores. Buch stays in STL, comes up empty AND spends time in the box. And it was Igor & Co's most complete 60 mins! Pizza for everyone!🍕🥳🏒💙🍕

Talk about a stolen win! #NYR played 20 of 60, 37% on draws. Officially, Bread had 2 giveaways but I counted at least a dozen. Mika had rough day. PP went 0-4. But Laffy is❤️‍🔥! Our 4-on-4 is '80's EDM-esque. Rempe w/the GWG + 🥊& Igor held the fort! Heave how, 10 in a row!! 🥳🏒💙
