RPD has bank robbery offender in custody from bank robbery at First American Bank, 15 Riverside Rd. Offender fled on foot and was apprehended in the rear yard along the BNRR tracks at 96 E. Quincy Street. More later.

Why we made these schedule changes:
BNSF Riders, due to ongoing track repairs from Friday?s Amtrak locomotive derailment, Metra expects to run trains in and out of Chicago Union Station with some track changes and a potential for minimal delays.
Metra's mobile app vendor has worked diligently through the weekend to correct the issues from last week. At this point, the vendor is confident the app will perform as intended, in advance of tomorrow's morning rush-hour.
BNSF inbound trains are on the move delayed up to 45 minutes due to signal problems and an earlier mechanical failure. Please listen to platform announcements for delays and train locations. Updated 9:02 a.m.

An incident in the yard is preventing movement of equipment for the p.m. rush hour. A train is blocking all tracks out of the yard. Extensive delays are expected. Riders are asked to take alternative transportation if possible.
Beginning January 8, 2024, Metra will transition to selling tickets exclusively through vending machines, at locations where ticket agents currently exist along the BNSF. Your ticket agent will remain on property to assist with the transition and provide customer service.
