Yes, I'm currently working on TSS Season 2! I have a lovely team of flatters helping me out, but everything else (writing, layout, pencils, inks, colors, letters) is all me, so it takes a while. 😅
Hi, I'm Meredith, a comic artist, illustrator, and designer from Philadelphia. I like detective stories, fantasy adventures, and vibrant colors.

I've always wondered if it's possible to just roll up the snow katamari style instead of shoveling. And then you've gotta do something with that giant snowball, right? ;D
Third Shift Society was nominated for a National Cartoonists Society Award, which I think is pretty neat! 😊 Congrats to all the nominees, and remember to get your votes in by June 7th!

Third Shift Society Vol. 1 is available for pre-order! If you're interested, you can find it on Amazon, B&N, at your local independent bookstore, and probably other places, too!
The publisher has no preferred seller, so please feel free to shop your store of choice. (b˙◁˙ )b
We have a Volume 1 cover reveal! What do you think?
The image is from the first

cover I ever made, but the logo is new!
I also did a written interview with
@comicsbeat
to coincide with the release:
Third Shift Society Volume 1 is off to the printers! It's their problem now. 🤣
Seriously, though, I'm so grateful to Emma and the
#WEBTOON
Unscrolled team for all their hard work! The final files look fantastic, and I can't wait for everyone to see the finished book! ❤️
Hi everyone! Just wanted to let you know that the remaining episodes of season 2 are all ready to go. Webtoon wants to wait until Return Week, so look for an update July 21/22 (depending on your time zone) with the season finale the following week.
Wednesday Addams for a supporter on Patreon. I started sketching and somehow ended up at "what if The Addams Family was a 2D animated series?" Honestly I'd watch the heck out of it. 😁
Some old Inktobers I finally got around to photographing. Is my brand "monster boys and witches" now? I mean, I'm totally fine with that. I just wanted to check. 🤣
Just a heads-up, Third Shift Society is on pause this week but will resume updates next week. I need a little time to catch up, also I think I got Covid and it's slowing me down a bit. 😅
Third Shift Society got an Eisner nomination?! Wow!! I'm incredibly honored to have my little webcomic sharing space with so many amazing creators and works. Congrats to all! ❤️
I'm going to NYCC! I'll be doing a panel, print signing, portfolio reviews (spots are limited, so sign up quick: ), and just generally hanging around the Webtoon booth to chat with all the lovely fans. Hope to see you there! 😊

I started working on another one of those

dealies, but things got busy again before I could finish. I still like some of the sketches, though, so I'll keep plugging away at them individually when I have a bit of time. Here's Francoeur from A Monster in Paris. :)
That’s right,
#ThirdShiftSociety
is now a Featured

! We’ll be relaunching in a few months (if all goes according to plan), so keep an eye out for a link. In the meantime, there’s A LOT of work to do, but I’m pretty excited about it! :D

There's going to be a bit of a break while I finish the last two episodes of the season. It's a lot of work (s-so many skeletons
@_
@), but I hope you'll enjoy the end result. <3
Some Danny Phantom art for a Patreon request. This was a real blast from the past, and it was nice being able to draw floating figures without worrying about backgrounds. 😆
Just a quick mermaid drawing for fun. I'm firmly within my comfort zone with this one, but that can be nice sometimes. It's cozy here and I've got snacks. 😁
A couple January Patreon sketches. Arthur Morgan (RDR2) and Mollymauk (Critical Role). I know basically nothing about these two, so I hope I did them justice. 😁
Picked up my guitar for the first time in YEARS after realizing that all I do nowadays is work. I'm rusty af, but it still felt really good. Anyway, just a reminder to myself and anyone who needs to hear it that hobbies are important and not everything needs to be monetized. 🎸
I'm sorry the schedule has gotten a little goofy; it's mostly my fault 'cause I'm burnt out af. 😩 I really appreciate your patience and hope you enjoy the rest of the season! ❤
I'm trying to get back into doing warm-up sketches (or slightly-more-than-sketches) before I start my work for the day.
Also, I think my favorite TSS pairing might be Simon x suffering. 🤣 Lucky for him he doesn't get enough screen time for me to really go wild.
I got to do this super fun Medusa commission last month. It was nice to break out the pens and markers again. I only wish the scan better captured the metallic gold ink of the background element, but maybe that's just my affinity for shiny things talking. 😁
Regardless of your personal beliefs on abortion and Roe v. Wade, everyone should be nervous about what this decision portends -- namely, that the state has more say over what happens in and to your body than you do.
Sketching me: You know what this character's house needs? A spiral staircase. And lots of plants. Oh, and how about some lanterns and books and bottles!
Inking me: Plz no.

When you want to talk out something that makes you angry/frustrated to try and understand it, but the other person just shuts you down with, "Oh, don't waste your time thinking about it." GEE THANKS PROBLEM SOLVED.
I guess it's technically interesting, but isn't this also a little...sad? Don't people like making stuff anymore? There's a type of joy in sucking at something and then working to become kind of good at it.
I almost passed out after getting blood drawn today -- full on dizziness, spotty vision, dry heaving in a trashcan...not great. It was the first time that's ever happened. Is this what getting older is like? They take one extra vial and BOOM! Welcome to the floor. 😬
Patreon sketch request from February. The character is an OC of the requester's friend, so I'm not sure I have permission to post links. It was fun experimenting with a slightly simpler coloring style. :D
Hey art friends! Do you have any recommendations for computer monitors? Something for comics/illustration and a bit of casual gaming (mostly puzzle/exploration stuff). Under $500 if possible because I'm poor af. 🙃 Been researching but I'd like to know what works for you!
Definitely worth a read! I've always had positive interactions with Webtoon staff, but the company seems to treat creators as an afterthought. We want the platform to succeed, and more transparency would go a long way towards making us feel like partners rather than cogs.
I don't expect a reply, though I will be emailing it to the creator care team and head of content. In my heart I hope we can work together to better the platform for everyone involved, and by making this public I am holding both WT and myself accountable.
My dudes, I have questions. This afternoon I found my dog sitting on the couch, guarding a FUCKING LEG BONE?!! What is this thing from? Where did she get it? How did my mom not notice her carrying it when she let her in?! (pic in replies)
A question for fellow people who create stuff: how do you handle negative reviews about your work? I stumbled upon one last night while trying to find some info for a reader, and it got me thinking about how seriously criticism should be taken.
A down-time drawing between episodes. This was my first time doing a "Draw This in Your Style" challenge (unless you count those screencap redraws) and it was really fun!

I didn't realize how many sound effects I had hand-lettered until I tried to collect them. I don't think this is even 5% of them from Season 1. Why am I addicted to doing things the hard way? 🤣🙃
