I've been putting off reading What Unites Us because I've become too cynical to believe anything unites us.

Experimenting with stitch patterns from the Japanese Knitting Stitch Bible - looking for patterns to combine into a shawl design. I'm going to continue working my way through the book and have ordered some Brimham High Twist (fingering weight) yarn from Eden Cottage Yarns.
Over 69% of Barrโs redactions in the Mueller report are related to the 14 ongoing investigations, including SDNY and E.D. Va. Before this saga is over, odds are that Donald Trump โ and quite likely Don Jr, Jared and Ivanka โ will still be indicted for their crimes and corruption.
'Elegant Decorative Collar' from The Japanese Knitting Stitch Bible: modifications - eyelets instead of a lower row of bobbles; and a small black onyx pendant instead of a button. The most impractical items I've knit - but I like it. (yarn:

Yarns Keld Fingering)
I'm really excited to announce that my first knitting book - Travel-inspired Knits: 10 Original Patterns for Hand Knit Accessories - will be published on September 15, 2020 by Anchor and Bee (Ireland). More details on Tuesday: here are photos of the front and back cover for now.

I'm an American living in Thailand. We had the first case of Covid outside China. Thailand has a population of nearly 70 million and we have had just over 100 Covid deaths. We all follow the public health measures - and don't complain about it. Everyone wears a mask.
Looking for feedback:
Swatches in Photo A were knit with

Yarns Brimham High Twist; the piece in Photo B with Keld Fingering. Which do you think shows the stitch pattern better?
FYI - these are all from the Japanese Knitting Stitch Bible

I stay tuned to CNN and have a great deal of respect for what you have to say. You remain one of the most trusted voices on the air. Thank you for all you do.

Thanks for the comments on my swatch project. I've tried to eliminate as many variables as possible and have worked two patterns in both yarns for a better comparison. Could I have feedback again please? Better stitch definition with the samples on the left or the right?
@Alex_Verbeek
He has made it clear what needs to be changed to limit the power of the presidency and to hold the president accountable while still in office. I think that's about the only positive I can see.
Finished the third scarf of my Shetland lace scarves project: all from 'A Legacy of Shetland Lace' by the Shetland Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers.
From the left: Zig Zag Scarf by Zena Thomson; St Ringan's Scarf by Mary Kay; and Voxter Scarf by Zena Thomson (my favorite)

Meaning that even a mild breakthrough infection could have long term consequences. Wear a mask and keep your distance, people.
It's hot and rainy here in Thailand but something got me in the holiday spirit a bit early. I had some yarn that reminded me of the colors of the season and that yarn turned into a cowl and a neckwarmer!

Eagle-eyed and certified knitting technical editor in search of patterns to edit - loads of proofreading and editing experience and pattern-writing experience as well. RTs appreciated as I have a fairly small number of followers so far ๐.
Second (and final) pair of Latvian fingerless gloves (from Knit Like a Latvian) - ready for the trip north of the Arctic Circle in October. Just enough yarn left over for a pair of wrist warmers!
