im sorry but this isnt funny. DID is a debilitating disorder and often times it is distressing when there is a switch. i highly doubt youre diagnosed. its extremely hard for individuals to meet criteria as there is not enough research for it to properly be diagnosed

DID is a trauma disorder and alters are there for trauma responses. it isnt "omg haha who did this it wasnt meeee". stop diagnosing yourself from what you see on Tiktok and rather go to a specialist about it. this is blatantly for attention.

i dont have DID, but i do often dissociate because of my psychosis. it is not fun and yes its okay to make light out of a disorder but again, highly doubt youre actually diagnosed. even then, there was a study where many teenage girls went to specialists for tourettes--

after the rise in tourettes "awareness" and "visibility" and 9/10 times, the teenagers were exhibiting what they saw on Tiktok and were convinced they actually had the condition. this is happening with DID too. DID is too rare and too unresearched for this, and think about it;

that much trauma on a childs brain would not make them successful or sane teenagers/adults and theyd have other conditions too that are caused by the trauma. thats just the reality of it, which is why we need more research on the matter and further trained specialists--

@lsmemes77 i highly doubt theyre clinically recognized. it may be a different disorder but it deffinitely isnt DID. DID is extremely hard to diagnose as even most individuals who may have the disorder cannot be clinically diagnosed due to lack of research and trained specialists.

id like to add there is not enough resources for proper diagnosis, which is the reason why diagnosis is hard to meet. its so much more likely for an individual to be diagnosed with a different disorder than DID. consult with your psychologist about any concerns or worries first
