Can confirm press box celebrations, oops.
Thank you to wonderful
@EFL
staff for their assistance throughout our special visit.
All news crews hoping for reaction this morning; best of luck. Party was still going strong at 4am when I came home to my wife & boy 💙
Championship.
💙 The best there’s ever been.
An absolute honour to have worked with you both. And thank you so much for the enjoyment and support over the last 10 years.
Hope I love the new manager just as much.
Always Chairboys, aren’t we.
🫶 It was an emotional morning at Marlow Road as Gareth Ainsworth and Richard Dobson said their goodbyes to the staff and players.
This is their final interview before they departed Wycombe Wanderers for Queens Park Rangers.
#Chairboys
Wembley eve: we believe!
Massive well done to everyone at the club for getting us ready to give it absolutely everything.
Mum, dad, boys… we’re going back to where it all began 💙
Come on Wycombe!
Bill, I was in awe of you when I started commentating alongside you all those years ago.
It was such a privilege to get to know you. You lit up Adams Park every time you visited.
I promise to give referees a hard time in your memory.
Rest in peace Bill.
End of an era.
Final printed programme tomorrow, apart from an occasional special edition.
Thanks to everyone who’s bought, advertised in or contributed to them down the years.
And to Sandie, Margaret, Jenny and team for selling them, in all weathers.
10 years ago today my 65-86 defeat to Peter Godwin was aired on Channel 4.
I was made to pay for a slow start in which my brain was so scrambled I couldn’t spot ANY words so invented a four-letter one (FUGE) which doesn’t exist.
I’ll always have my DAUNTING triumph.
The best times I’ve known at Adams Park since my first game in 1993.
The terrace sounded brilliant; left side, right side, all getting behind the boys.
A special win for the Bajwa family.
Up the bloody Wyc.
🔥 A fourth Wembley visit in my 10 years with the best club in the land.
Bradford - you were brilliant and humble hosts. Excellent people.
Wycombe - I bloody love you lot.
Ninth season: ✅
First one without play-offs, promotion, relegation, final day escapes or cup runs.
Yet it’s been an absolute pleasure as always and work on the next chapter is already underway.
COYB!
Assist from the crowd!
Shoutout to the youngster who got the ball back quickly ahead of the winning goal yesterday.
And I guess we should appreciate
@jordanobita11
’s perfect cross too!
#WYCvCRE
Dobbo 🙌🏻
A wonderful professional (obviously) in his sixth interview of the night... but only after making the press wait so he could Facetime his family to share the moment with them.
Too right.
Absolutely brilliant news.
And well played
@wwtrust
.
Inherited a ticking time bomb, averted multiple disasters, backed Gareth, recognised the limit of our fan ownership, and found fantastic partners to take us forward.
Yeah I’m a Wanderer 💙
Wycombe Wanderers Trust are pleased to announce that the required threshold to approve the purchase of a majority share in the club by Feliciana EFL Ltd – which is controlled by Rob Couhig - has now been reached.
He’s the greatest professional I’ve had the pleasure to work with and am proud to call the guy a friend.
When you give 100% in everything you do, there’s nothing left to give. That’s him, every single day.
Oh, and he was outstanding today. Again.
❤️ Been so privileged to work with some of the best men you could wish to meet.
Getting a bit fed up of posting their farewells, though!
@joe_jacobson
, you’ve given this club some of the greatest moments in our history. Thanks for everything lege.
👑 One of the greatest to wear the shirt.
Joe Jacobson will make his 400th and final appearance for Wycombe Wanderers when the Chairboys take on Charlton Athletic at Adams Park on Saturday 27th April (k.o. 12.30pm).
💙 We went beyond our wildest dreams.
An absolute rock through the dark Covid times. An incredible driving force on and off the pitch. And above all, a great mate and source of fun.
Cheers for everything
@petecouhig
! Wycombe is a better club because of you.
Dear Wycombe,
It’s time for me to retire. I have truly enjoyed my time working with Wycombe Wanderers but after five of the most successful years in the history of the Club, it’s time to move on.
Our greatest season 💙
Shoutout not just to Rob and Gaz for leading the way but to Pete, Neil, Kelly, Dawn, Josh, Ben and Richard for keeping the club going since lockdown struck.
It’s been a blast. One game to go.
The outcome of the final won't define this team.
They've already done enough to achieve greatness.
But they don't stop at 'enough'. That's what makes us so proud to follow them on their journey.
Go and get it, boys.
💙 What a bloody good start to the year. Credit to the manager and chairman for sticking with what they believe in. Football was fantastic, fireworks were spectacular, crowd were brilliant and together we’ll climb the table in no time.
In 12 months:
- CMS 90+ winner at Crewe (2-3)
- Beany 90+ winner vs Carlisle (4-3)
- Bayo 90+ winner vs Swindon (3-2)
- PROMOTION
- CMS 90+ winner vs Scunthorpe (3-2)
- Alex 90+ winner at Accy (1-2)
- Paris 90+ winner vs Donny (3-2)
“Enjoy your job?”
💙 2023/24 ready. The testimonial year.
A new Wycombe but some important legends still at the heartbeat of the club. Congratulations on a wonderful day
@joe_jacobson
.
Aaaaaannddddd that’s a wrap to the 23/24 season! ⚽️
I can’t even put into words how honoured I’ve been to be involved with
@wwfcofficial
this season!
What an absolutely incredible team on AND off the pitch 🤩
Our press box is finally (well, nearly, pending more power supplies coming on Monday) up to Championship requirements with desk space for 44.
Far more comfortable for our guests and easier social distancing.
Christen it with a win tomorrow boys!
Excited for season 2021/22 with these two.
Almost as excited as
@ryanpelletrat
is.
Here to tell the world about the greatest football club on the planet. Let’s go!
Gareth Ainsworth still has a pre-season prediction - 23rd in League One - pinned to his office wall.
Despite it all, Wycombe’s season has been some story. They’re 3 games from the Championship, starting at Fleetwood tonight.
Day one of my work experience in 2005, John Gorman rips into my suit and shoes.
Sixteen years later he’s still winding me up.
“Don’t make me walk all the way to the centre circle, and ask me one question so I can get back to the bar!”
An amazing guy 🙌🏻
👑 13-year-old me fell in love with the Wycombe team that reached the FA Cup semi-final.
36-year-old me still loves the legends that got us there! Andy Rammell was a true gent.
That dive into the snow. Iconic.
❤️ Covid restrictions and Gaz’s dodgy back meant G’s signing in 2020 amounted to me taking a lonely photo in a field.
Production levels have rocketed since.
Magical work from
@1lukejarrett
and
@AndyRowlandUK
today to capture
@gmccleary12
’s big news!
And yes - all G’s idea.
Man City choosing Wycombe as their preferred destination for a promising young player tells you all you need to know about the reputation of Gareth, Dobbo and everyone else at the club.
Excited to see Luke in action!
I reckon
@Matt_Bass
could be on to something here…
This is *the* golden generation in 135 years of Wycombe history and renaming Hillbottom Road after a club legend would be a fitting tribute.
If enough fans get behind it, it could gather pace.

Friday 6th October 2000
Wycombe Wanderers v Notts C
Before the game I was in the press box at Adams Park & tried to make sense of what was happening in front of me. In between filming, I wandered down & said Hello to
@LionelRichie
@BBCWatchdog
@MattAllwright
#whocanyouspot
?
The best and most effective player in the division bar none.
17 scored, 12 assists, and he doesn’t even take our penalties.
Arise Sir Bayo; hope the judges reward one of the biggest icons the
@EFL
will ever see.
#BMO
✅ Guessed this would get numbers! Worth clarifying ref was 100% correct in his application of rule 34.21 regarding the use of drying aids. I’m fun at parties, honest.

’s print deadline to make sure it’s back page news tomorrow.
We’ve got our Macca back 😍
🥁 Here we go!
Watch the moment Matt Bloomfield returned to Adams Park with a surprise guard of honour from
#Chairboys
staff, and spoke to WanderersTV for his first interview as manager of Wycombe Wanderers.
💪🏻 We are 23/24 ready! As a kid I loved open days at the ground meeting the players, and today was a fantastic chance for some of our most dedicated supporters of all ages to spend time in their company.
Greatest club in the land. Was then, is now.
💙 Special day in HP12. So happy for the boss and everyone who’s worked so hard to get us looking a real force.
And that ovation for the Wembley to Wycombe walkers… wow.
One proud son right here.
@alancecil
, you’re an inspiration. See you and the rest at the finish!
❤️ This was special.
A lap for the walkers while “There’s only one Bill Turnbull” filled the air.
Thank you to everyone who donated.
Good luck tomorrow, legends!
Thrilled for TJ to get a fantastic move which sets him & Hannah up for their married life together.
Proud that my stubborn insistence to recruit him two years ago has paid off a million times over.
Gutted to lose one of the very best I’ve met, professionally & personally 💙
@AlastairAnkers
Alastair - everyone at the club from players to staff is devastated to hear this news and our thoughts are with you your family. Please reach out if Wycombe Wanderers can be a comfort or support to you in any way at all.
💙🩵 Thank you
#Chairboys
fans for playing your part in ramping up the excitement for the new season.
A thrilling new chapter awaits. Go and tell a mate, and let’s pack out AP in support of Matt and his staff and players.
We. Are. Wycombe.
MATCHDAY!
2022 gets underway at Adams Park this afternoon as the
#Chairboys
face high-flying Sunderland, live on Sky Sports at 12:30.
There's still time to grab tickets for this huge fixture: .
UP THE WYC!
#WYCvSUN
Big (and growing) media interest in Saturday’s game. Highest-ranked fixture in English domestic football this weekend; have we ever said that before?
Word of mouth still bloody vital for growing attendances, though. Bring your PL-supporting mates and help get the place rocking.
The
@SoccerSaturday
cameras will be with us at Adams Park tomorrow during Gareth Ainsworth's appearance in the shop from 2-4pm.
Great news if you want to be on TV.
Bad news if you're skiving off work/school to meet the gaffer!
Can’t begin to imagine how heart-wrenchingly difficult this past week has been for
@elliotmbyrne
and
@Khuds_
- but they’ve done their club proud yet again with this.
Class and dignity. Just like their manager.
