Take pride in doing the "little things" correctly at practice, today and everyday. Always remember that the little things become BIG THINGS in big time situations. Champions take care of the little things.

Pitchers (especially at the amateur level) need to repeat one phrase to themselves when they toe the rubber: ATTACK THE STRIKE ZONE. If you can consistently work ahead in counts you will be successful. Successful = Give your team a chance to win. Read swings. Offset timing.
The talent that D2 and D3 ⚾️ schools are currently landing is more proof of the talent shift that is taking place in college baseball. The “D1 or bust” mentality is beat. Get up to speed or get left behind.
Fundamental keys of “catch play.” Specifically improving your ability to receive the baseball … using good “actions” to catch the ball. It’s the first thing coaches, recruiters and scouts notice while watching you throw. Do you catch the ball “cleanly? Do you dominate the
Hey pitchers...on EVERY pass ball you should be sprinting home, pointing to and yelling the location of the ball. Who cares where the runners are. Its a good habit to have and will be the difference between wins and losses in the long run.
Just a little reminder: Just because the season is/has started doesn’t mean you abandon the weight room. Don’t lose what you busted your tail for this off-season!
College ⚾️ hopefuls: Get an idea of what schools are a good fit and try to attend their prospect camps! Use the down time in August and the fall to get on your prospective school’s radar! The majority of college rosters are full of players who attended their camp!
Call last night from college Fr student athlete:” Coach I remember you telling me that fall baseball will be the toughest time as a college student athlete but I never thought it would be this hard! Please tell HS seniors to hit the weight room and understand time management!
Velocity velocity velocity. Can't deny that it is important but lets change the mindset/conversation to "How hard can I throw for STRIKES?" Its paramount we give our team every opportunity to win. Strike throwers do just that. Located 80 is better than 90 with no idea.

Regardless of what travel org kids are with….I love seeing commitment tweets. Congrats to all the ballers out there getting after it. The work is just beginning! To those out there still trying to find their fit: YOU STILL HAVE TIME! Keep working. 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Any College Coaches out there in Twitterverse plan on having Team Camps this summer? D1, D2, D3, NAIA, JUCO. Doesn't matter. We are interested in getting our 24's in front of you.

Want to increase arm strength? It's not complicated!
1. Long Toss
No, you don't have to crow hop and throw into a net 5 feet in front of you. You, don't need to do the silly run and gun bullshit. You, don't need to pay thousands of dollars. You need to long toss!!
@samanthamarika1
How do you "just find" 65,000 ballots two days after the election? What kind of department are you running? Are they going to "just find" another few thousand months from now?
Wondering why your team isn’t getting the college coach attention you think they deserve? WIN. Successful teams are almost always talented and coaches are looking for (you guessed it)….talent.
If your travel coach is telling you this, run the other way. Life long memories are made in high school sports. MEANINGFUL GAMES are played. Not 5 AB’s and flip the inning nonsense. Have fun. Play with your buddies. Have a sense of pride in representing your community!
Hearing from other High School Coaches that some Travel Ball coaches telling kids not to play for their High School Baseball Team. This is my 10th year being a head varsity baseball coach and I never heard such a thing! Kids play for your High School and battle for a State
Incredibly thankful to receive the US Elite Mid Atlantic Assistant Coach of the Year Award. What an honor to be one of many deserving coaches. It is a privilege to a part of such a tight knit, 1st class organization. Looking forward to the fall!

Want to know the easiest way to get the attention of coaches at a showcase/event? Bust it hard out of the box on a ball through the infield and make a hard turn. If the OF bobbles or lolly gags, take 2nd. It takes zero skill just EFFORT. Most importantly it helps your TEAM!
I've seen young men TRANSFORM themselves in one offseason just by going hard in the weight room. It all comes down to how bad you want it. How are you going to separate yourself from the other players gunning for collegiate roster spots?
Fall baseball is over for most!
November-December-January can change the trajectory of your baseball career! If you will commit yourself to heavy lifting/conditioning/caloric intake and outworking everyone in the country...people will stop sleeping on you.
It's up to YOU!
@nextlevelbb
I tell incoming freshman all the time….Be in the best baseball shape you can possibly be in for the fall. It’s where rosters and rotations are made!
It’s officially GROW SEASON. Time to hit the weights, dial in the diet and transform yourself into a bigger, stronger ballplayer come spring time. It will payoff if you stay CONSISTENT!!! 💪🏼💪🏼

The Fall is important. Especially for 23's and 24's. You can play a 2 month fall season and still have time to develop and hit the weights hard. Get in front of coaches any opportunity you can. Play the game. Get quality reps in live competition. ⚾️⏳⌛️
Recruiting/Exposure seasons in order of importance/activity.

3. Spring-Colleges are playing and limited with recruiting travel

Division I Council has approved a measure to turn all volunteer positions in baseball and softball (and in all sports) into a full-time coaching position without recruiting constraints. Volunteers will officially become full-time coaches on July 1, 2023.
The goal of so many(not all) players nowadays is to pass the showcase eye test(measurables).....it becomes their sole focus! In turn, so many forget what the elephant in the room really is...To PERFORM vs the equal and/or better! To COMPETE! To WIN!
We are pleased to announce Matt Blethen as the US Elite Mid-Atlantic Recruiting Coordinator/College Liaison. He is a former pitcher for WVU and the Cleveland Organization (MLB). His coaching experience and passion for the game make him the best man for the job.
@USElitebase
The “D1 or Bust” mentality is tired. At some point some self awareness has to kick in. Do your research and realize there are GREAT opportunities at every level. You’re missing life changing opportunities due to preconceived notions.

Getting ahead in the count consistently is critical to being successful on the mound. Let’s WIN THE FIRST THREE. Make a concerted effort to get the batter out in the first 3 pitches or get that count to 1-2. FIRST PITCH STRIKES go a long way in achieving this.
Baseball Players: Don’t forget about the weight room! Do not let all the work you put into the off-season go to waste. 2-3 times a week. FIND THE TIME. I bet the other guy is.
Lost a tough one in the semis of the
@PBR_NY_Scouts
Summer Championships to the eventual champion CT Whalers, 2-1 in extra innings.
@GinoSatira
was outstanding on the hill throwing 7 innings. Giving up 1 run and walking ZERO. Proud of the way our guys performed all tourney.
I’m not a fan of time limit baseball, but understand it’s place in some youth tourneys/showcases. But the drop dead mid-inning rule is absolutely brutal.

Mr. Do-It-All. Taylor also threw 6.1 innings and got the win on the mound. You can put him anywhere on the field and he will make your team better. The scary thing is he’s still growing and adding strength to his frame. One to follow this summer.
Calls like the one that I received this evening makes doing what I do 100% worthwhile. Fired up to see all of these young men fulfill their dreams of playing ⚾️ at the next level!
P.S. And we're not finished 😎
One thing that gets lost in all of the Travel ⚾️ talk is the relationships made between players. So proud of our

guys. Every player, past and present, stay in touch, promote each other and root for their success. Friendships that will last a lifetime. ❤️🤍💙
Players: The Holidays are over. It is time to dial back in and crank it up a notch. High School season will be here before you know it. Laser focus. Work hard and stay consistent if you want big things in 2022!!! Be the guy that produces. Not the guy with "potential."
Let this sink in... A hard turn, bobble and extra base can change a game!
Players...Hard turns 100% of the time separate the contenders from the pretenders.
Great opening series for our

Was able to catch up with an old college teammate that I hadn’t seen in 20yrs. It just so happens that his son is a pitcher (Like his Dad) and will be joining us in August to pitch at the Cincy TOC. Proving once again that baseball is a game of RELATIONSHIPS.
@shegone03
@PerfectGameUSA
These parents need to be educated on the recruiting process. How in your right mind do you think this is beneficial? Get your son on a weight training program and in a facility where he can work on his game. Get big. Get strong. This isn’t the way.
⚾️ Players: The fall season has come to an end. You could take a week or two off or……… you could hit the weight room today. Just a suggestion. 4 months until high school starts. ⏳⌛️
Reason # 98295923 why I love what I do. The bonds and lifetime friendships that are made through ⚾️. We take pride in not only having a talented team, but, seeing all the guys ENJOYING the game and ENJOYING being around each other. We had just that the past 4 seasons and I’m
This. This right here is what it's all about. Bryce put the work in and transformed himself into collegiate pitcher. Work ethic and character 📈‼️ Unbelievably proud. (Don't sleep on his bat either 😎)

I heard this today and had to share:
“Help somebody else get everything they want and soon you’ll get everything you want.”
Help others without the expectation of reciprocation.
Happy First Day of the Public School Baseball Season!!! Now it’s time to put all of that off-season work to use on the diamond!!! Good luck to everyone and stay healthy! 👊🏼

This is gold. The key is staying within yourself. Trusting your mechanics and staying loose and relaxed. An almost effortless feeling. You will “unlock it” and not even realize it. ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
Cedric Mullins was a bench player in high school. He didn’t start until his senior year. He went to a junior college. He's 5-foot-8.
Tonight, he started in centerfield for the American League in the MLB All-Star Game.
How many fans attend travel ball tournaments? Very few. My point? 95% of people at the park are parents and/or coaches. Charging parents a gate fee, parking fee, etc is ridiculous. They've already paid the travel org to play and the travel org paid YOU.
