Only thing I have to say re: #salmond tonight are that in this country we try people in a court of law, with a jury of their peers. They are innocent until proven guilty, and if found innocent, then innocent they remain. We don’t try people by television.

Can someone explain to me why Scotland’s constitutional future should be decided upon by MPs that are elected by people who do not live in Scotland? We have no say over those MPs, so we have no say over our future. That isn’t democracy.

We are told that Holyrood cannot hold a referendum on independence because that power is reserved to Westminster. Today, the majority of Scottish MPs voted for the Scottish Parliament to be able to hold a vote. They were overruled by English MPs. This is not democracy.

Thank goodness we didn’t go independent in 2014. We’d probably be back in the EU by now, with over 100% of our electricity needs met by renewables & windfall taxes on oil&gas producers to pay for a gas price cap. Sounds dreadful. Luckily we stayed put. Yay #YouYesYet #indyref2

2020 can just get in the bin. DWP letter today after a single phone interview with someone with no medical qualifications stating my partner who has fibromyalgia and complex PTSD has no right to the PIP award she’s had for the last 6+ years.

@HumzaYousaf If the UK Home office have not arrested the Scots that are being held inside their van, they are being illegally detained. If they're under arrest, they can only be held for 12 hours without being charged. I make it 4 hours so far.

I understand a lot of people are upset that we don’t seem to be pushing Indy hard enough - but the legal reality is we have only 2 options: 1) We get a mandate from voters to begin negotiations with the UK gov to either become Indy or have another vote OR: 2) we declare Indy.

The abortion debate is tough. It’s at times sore & lacks wisdom to understand different views. I believe an overwhelming majority do not support abortion without limitations. Surely then we should have a compassionate discussion on what we do agree on.

@lee33788 @NicolaSturgeon @scotgov MSPs received a 0.6% pay rise in 2018. The Scottish govt refused pay rises from 2009 onwards meaning their pay has been voluntarily frozen since then. Try again.
