@KilclooneyJohn To be fair I don’t think it was politically motivated. Most people supporting the Irish team use the tricolor. As you may know it’s 175 yrs old this year. It symbolises Green for Catholic Nationalists, Orange for Protestant Unionists & white for a lasting peace between them 🇮🇪🇬🇧

@marybuckley549 I’ve just come home after a daycare hospital procedure. Every single member of staff I met was so wonderful & professional - there was a big mixture of nationalities. - they are all a credit to our hospital system ❤️🇮🇪

Barely slept so busy. Still had 48hrs to work before the Friday evening. And so went my NCHD years. Traumatised me forever. Still feel panic when I hear a bleep.

@mhdksafa An official proper apology from Gymnastics Ireland is needed and appropriate sanctions. I think the official sent a long letter of apology to the child & her family shortly after the event but it wasn’t given to them until mediation started which isn’t good enough

@Tipler1983 Agree the young soldier would have been oblivious & concentrating on his job. However it is not normal for any child (Catholic or Protestant) to grow up with armed soldiers patrolling the streets. I think this shows the amazing resilience of children, whatever their background ❤️

@liz_lizanderson We always keep ours up until after Little Christmas on Jan 6th (also known as Women’s Christmas/Nollaig na mBan in Ireland) so not touched until Jan 7th. It was considered very bad luck to take it down before that date. I feel very sad to see decorations removed before then 😢
