This lunch cost me €9:15 (including staff discount) in the coffee shop in Crumlin Hospital - to ke this is daylight robbery - exactly how are parents supposed to afford eating here when their child is sick??…
@CHIatCrumlin
@Aramark
Constantly shocked at the horrific prices in the coffee shop
@CHIatCrumlin
- including staff discount this lunch cost €15.75 😱 For families without the discount it would cost even more! Shameful…
@KRobertMarlo
Someone very wise said that the true measure of a person’s character is how they treat people working in the service industry (eg. Waiting staff, taxi drivers, hotel receptionists etc) - looks like Mr Corden’s true colours are shining through sadly 🙄😢
@KilclooneyJohn
To be fair I don’t think it was politically motivated. Most people supporting the Irish team use the tricolor. As you may know it’s 175 yrs old this year. It symbolises Green for Catholic Nationalists, Orange for Protestant Unionists & white for a lasting peace between them 🇮🇪🇬🇧
@itsmeanab_
A very brave & humble Brazilian man (a Deliveroo driver) stopped the attacker this afternoon. He got off his bike, ran over & smacked him in the face with his helmet. He probably saved several children. A true hero ❤️
@SexplainedMed
This tweet is just depressing - she shouldn’t need to be hardcore. The USA needs to provide decent maternity leave and adequate breaks on return to work (to pump) like any decent civilised country does
@_mullally_el_
One little girl critical after emergency surgery, teacher also critical. 2nd child kept overnight for observation & 3rd allowed home from ED. Am hoping & praying the little girl & teacher will make a full recovery. It is so horrific - all of it - heartbreaking💔
@marybuckley549
I’ve just come home after a daycare hospital procedure. Every single member of staff I met was so wonderful & professional - there was a big mixture of nationalities. - they are all a credit to our hospital system ❤️🇮🇪
@slayerfest98
This is sounding very similar to Irish people in UK being discriminated against during The Troubles as assumed to have IRA links. It should not matter who the restaurant owners are or where they come from. We should judge people on their behaviour not their ethnicity 🕊️💫❤️🇮🇪
@Berlinnaeus
Bernie these bigoted people will never be happy. I’m convinced that some people are just ‘anti’ everything. This is a lovely very inclusive move by Dublin City Marathon ❤️
@chip_daley
My understanding is Johney Depp was great friends with Shane & was his Best Man when he got married so not surprised he was a prominent part of the funeral. Also Sinéad’s funeral was private as per her family’s request. Many people lined the streets & paid tribute ❤️

My first day of work as an intern in Galway started 9am Saturday July 1st and finished 6pm Monday July 3rd! 57hrs. Barely slept so busy. Still had 48hrs to work before the Friday evening. And so went my NCHD years. Traumatised me forever. Still feel panic when I hear a bleep.

Thank you so much for this - it brought me to tears - the whole country is so upset and sending deepest sympathy and much love to Ashling’s heartbroken parents, family, friends & young pupils 💔 Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dílis

Fields of Athenry isn’t about rugby either and is sung brilliantly at every match. Zombie was written about the senseless butchery of innocent children in the troubles - written specifically after the murders of 3yo Jonathan Ball & 12yo Tim Parry in Warrington in 1993
@ToluMakay
Agree Tolü - the lady giving out the medals should never ever have that or a similar role ever again. I am finding it har to belief it was an honest mistake. The other wee children probably didn’t know what to say but the adults around should have said something 💔

Actually I really like noodles/Asian Food that’s why I ordered them but these were only so-so. The price though for a hospital coffee shop (even in Dublin!) is extortionate esp for families who may be here for weeks on end with a sick child 😫
@mhdksafa
An official proper apology from Gymnastics Ireland is needed and appropriate sanctions. I think the official sent a long letter of apology to the child & her family shortly after the event but it wasn’t given to them until mediation started which isn’t good enough
@ThatDublinGirl
My mum always told me that the true measure of a person was how they treated those in the service industry (waiters,till staff, shop floor assistants, receptionists etc) Someone who is rude or mean to these essential workers is not a nice person and is to be avoided 👍🏻
@Tipler1983
Agree the young soldier would have been oblivious & concentrating on his job. However it is not normal for any child (Catholic or Protestant) to grow up with armed soldiers patrolling the streets. I think this shows the amazing resilience of children, whatever their background ❤️

@louisemcsharry
Well said. It seems such a non story. People are busy with work & family commitments and everyone has financial pressures so yes of course they should be paid for their time & expertise. Nobody should be expected to work for free 🙄
Happy New Year to everyone - may 2024 bring peace & harmony to the world - especially to the innocent civilians of Gaza, Israel, Ukraine, Yemen, Syria, Darfur & all war torn areas across the globe - it is always the little children who suffer the most 💔🕊️
Auld Lang Syne, the Scots-language poem written by Robert Burns in 1788, was set to a much older Scottish/Irish melody and is now sung all over the world to welcome the new year. Happy New Year from the west of Ireland!
@UberFacts
Lack of Maternity Leave/Benefits & poor holidays, living to work (not working to live), lack of gun control, reliance on cars, how much sugar is added to everything 😬
@DavidVeevers1
Thank you so much for this. Our history was horrific but should never be twisted in a way to allow for racism and bigotry. The African Slave trade was a whole different ball game. It is possible to feel for our ancestors and also feel for the African people & their suffering ❤️
The All-Island Children's Palliative Care conference 2022 is just a few days away, and will address issues related to the theme of ‘Communication: Compassion and Common Ground’

We always keep ours up until after Little Christmas on Jan 6th (also known as Women’s Christmas/Nollaig na mBan in Ireland) so not touched until Jan 7th. It was considered very bad luck to take it down before that date. I feel very sad to see decorations removed before then 😢
@visegrad24
Her photograph has haunted me since I first saw it a couple of years ago. It is so incomprehensible the barbaric cruelty that occurred. I often think of this young girl and pray we never let it happen again 💔💔💔
Wonderful couple of days laying the groundwork for the move the wonderful new Children’s hospital. Lovely to spend time with staff from Transitional Care, Neonatology, Forensic Medicine, Allied Health & Portering. The hospital is going to be amazing

As a 1st year SHO was called in the middle of the night to disarm a confused elderly gentleman on holidays from the USA who was threatening everyone with a knife. He was tall and burly and, as he shouted at me, was a retired “United States Marine Corps, Green Beret!”…. 😬

This is just not true. Over 80,000 Irish men & women joined the British Armed forces & between 5 - 10,000 died in WW2. Many hailed as heros. Intelligence from Blacksod Weather Station to US President informed the date of D-Day. When Belfast was bombed firefighters from ROI helped

Was thinking the exact same thing. That is the behaviour of someone who has lived in fear. The poor wee thing needs to be loved and made feel safe again 💔❤️
@paulmurphy_TD
Expelling the Ambassador is not the right thing to do diplomatically. We need to keep all lines of communication open so that some sort of peace deal can be brokered. Paisley, Hume & McGuinness used dialogue to achieve peace - not cancelling each other 🕊️

The Junior doctors (& senior doctors) are part of a team working with Junior & senior nurses, HCAs, porters, admin staff, Physios, OTs, dietitians etc so usually automatically included in celebrations. I don’t understand how you would justify excluding anyone from the party 🤦🏻♀️🙄
