This is my 74th season supporting the Mighty Arsenal, my life passion.Have seen 2500 matches, and am proud to have as friends many legends from 1960/70/80s/90's
"We need to stop them winning the title simple as that, we can save football today" 😳
Jamie O'Hara not holding back on what Tottenham need to do against Arsenal 😅
Whoever’s responsible for reducing the ticket allocation for the AA are an enemy of Arsenal Football Club and should be dismissed immediately.
Our team need and deserve all of the support that they can get.
The club should double the AA allocation immediately
Did he spend £100 million on Pepe and Saliba?
Did he pay £70 million for Xhaka and Mustafi?
Did he give Ozil a contract of £17.5 million pa.?
Give him the opportunity to build his own team.
We knew it would take time
We can’t sack our managers every 5 minutes.
I’m being brutally honest, it’s Arsenal for me 1 million %. England can never excite me in the same way.
I was at Wembley for the 1966 final, but Arsenal winning the Mikita Cup at the same venue in 1988 excited me much more.
Am I alone?
I’m 70 years an Arsenal fan.
Trust me I’ve seen everything.
This is as bad as it’s been.
The club was rotting under Wenger. And for many years.
We must come through this and give Arteta the opportunity to get rid of this shit culture and then go again.
He’s turned down a much fatter contract, treble winners & serial winners Man City, & Pep Guardiola, because he believes in the Arsenal/ Arteta revolution.
I’m 72 years an AFC fan, seen everything following my beloved club, and I can’t believe how excited I am.
Wishing my neighbour every success in Germany.
He’s finished up an Arsenal legend, but even in his most difficult moments he never once gave less than 100%.
Congratulations to the Arsenal players for giving us a much improved season and European football to come.
And a massive thank you to Mikel Arteta for playing a massive role in achieving the near impossible and uniting the Arsenal fan base.
Onwards & Upwards.
Arsenal fans, you cannot keep changing managers every 5 minutes. We have to accept that we are a mid table team at the moment and the only player than can really improve us, Thomas, is not available.
Stay with Arteta and judge him at the end of next season.
I’ve loved so many Arsenal teams.
The 71 Double, George’s two title winners.
Wenger’s amazing teams over his first 10 years.
But I’m not sure if I’ve ever loved a team as much as this Arteta side.
They really are Arsenal DNA.
With the squad that he inherited, the lack of resources that Arsenal offer him, plus a devastating catalogue of injuries, I find it bewildering that so many AFC fans are looking to be negative towards Emery.
Arsenal v Real Madrid, arguably the biggest club in the world.
Look at our support, outnumbering RM by at least 3 to 1.
It’s up to Kroenke to make the most of our incredible world wide support and give us all a competitive team.
Aubameyang suspended by Borussia Dortmund for disciplinary reasons - Michael Zorc
Read this and you will get a very good idea what Arteta has had to contend with.
Which begs the question ‘why on earth did Arsenal buy him?’
I’ve been a shareholder of AFC for over 50 yrs.
I’ve attended over 50 AGM’s and challenged
D.Hill Wood, P.Hill Wood, Friar & managers
Why ? Because my love for AFC is greater than any of them ,and I am desperate for the club to be the very best that they can be.
It’s a sad day.
I was like a schoolboy again as MY number one player met HIS number one fan just 30 minutes ago.
It felt like 70 years ago at Highbury when I would wait in Avenell Rd for the Arsenal players to finish training and get their autographs.
Just a silly old guy?
Granit Xhaka must be made of steel.
He plays virtually every minute of every match for both Arsenal and Switzerland.
He is talented, a great pro & a team player.
He is one of the 1st names on the team sheet for all of his managers.
He must be a bit useful, no?
I have never doubted him since the moment that Arsenal made their decision to appoint him.
He is a top coach and is the man to take Arsenal forward.
But the club will have to support him and the fans need to be more respectful towards him.
Fantastic business Arsenal.
Jorginho and Trossard for £35 million.
Two excellent players who will help us to win the PL this season.
And we now have a surplus £120 million to develop our squad still further in the summer.
Happy days 😄😄😄
Heartfelt condolences to Frank McLintock and his family on the very sad loss of his wonderful wife Barbara .
A kind, gentle person who lived for her family and heroically fought against her illnesses for over 25 years.
Barbara will be missed by everyone who ever knew her.
Some Spurs fans are saying what a wonderful job Pochetinno has done in taking this Spurs team to an ECL final.
I’m saying that Arsene Wenger took Arsenal to an ECL Final with Philippe Senderos and Matthieu Flamini in our back four.
I wasn’t completely convinced by his performances last season.
But Arteta knew. He was desperate to make the signing.
At the moment Odegaard is probably the best midfielder in the Premier League.
Massive credit to Mikel Arteta.
Just been watching “The Merse” with Harry Redknapp.
He’s been out of favour with some Arsenal fans over his punditry.
But remember his great career at Arsenal and what a massively talented footballer he was.
And the trophies that he helped us to win.
A legend.
Unai Emery is an outstanding manager with an excellent CV.
It didn’t work out with us but his English is now much improved and it is good to see him doing well at Villa.
He is a thoroughly decent person so it is difficult not to pleased for him.
Look, Evra has no right to repeat comments that Thierry Henry made to him privately about Granit Xhaka.
He’s got a big mouth and should not be invited back by Sky.
If you even have the slightest thoughts that you do not want Arsenal to win tonight so that you can pursue an agenda against Arteta, then you are not wanted within one million miles of our club.
A dampener.
Ashamed of the early leaving Arsenal fans.
Those empty seats at 90 embarrass the club.
It doesn’t happen at other clubs let alone one that is fighting for the PL.
Why bother coming to the game if you can’t applaud the team off after a huge win?
Arsenal fans around the world are going bonkers at the clubs lack of activity.
But have they given a thought to how he must be feeling at this moment?
His future at Arsenal is dependent on the last few weeks of the window.
He must be scratching his head.
Paul Davis: the Arsenal midfielder ahead of his time who remains one of the club's most under-appreciated legends via
@thesefootytimes
A brilliant appraisal of the career of Paul Davis.
An outstanding player and a true AFC legend.
Biggest disappointment of the season so far?
It’s not one win in the last 7 games.
It’s that after 2 fantastic seasons of support and incredible atmosphere, it’s back to the dark days of silence at our Emirates Stadium.
Max Allegri has always been Arsenal’s first choice.
Perhaps he could be described as a cross between George Graham and Arsene Wenger.
He is a perfect fit for The Gunners.
Get it over the line, Gazidis !
Trust me. I am 72 years an Arsenal fan.
I have seen everything.
The Emirates is rocking. This new generation of younger AFC fans have helped breathe life into our club.
We are currently experiencing the loudest support in our history.
Keep it going guys/gals.
I’ve been one of his biggest backers over the last 2 years of ups and downs.
Have I got my doubts now? Certainly. I imagine that all Arsenal fans have.
I’m really concerned about many aspects of his management but I’m not quite giving up on him just yet.
In 2016, a 19-year-old Rob Holding, Bolton's player of the season was personally scouted by Steve Bould and signed for £2m.
Here's the story of Holding's rise at
#AFC
- how he went from being last in the pecking order to a starter.

Lucky enough to be off to Leicester tomorrow.
I might be 77 years of age but I promise you that no Arsenal fan will give the team more vocal support than myself 💪💪💪💪
This is the moment that Alan Sunderland scored one of the most dramatic goals in Wembley and FA Cup history.
It’s 1979 and every Arsenal fan knows this story.
At least they should do!
Real Sociedad have agreed a deal with Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal, but Unai Emery wants the Spaniard for Sunday’s North London Derby, which will be his last match for the club. [

He united our fanbase.
He united his players.
He united the club’s hierarchy.
Against all of the odds he has his Arsenal players on the top of the Premier League.
He is without a doubt the outstanding manager/coach of 2022.
How much longer will England’s poster boy keep getting away with it?
At least Martin Tyler called it out tonight, but that is not enough.
He needs to be named and shamed by everybody who cherishes our game.
Arsenal fans.
Don’t be too harsh on our players and manager. They have given us so much this season.
We are in a difficult moment now and things might get worse.
The battle is for top 6, but we will have to dig in & improve to achieve that.
Ten improvements that Unai Emery is responsible for :
.
2.Resilience.
3.Pride in AFC
4.Mental strength 😜😜😜😜
5.Substitutions.
egos.
favourites.
bonding.
9.Belief.
10.Uniting fans.
Its unlikely that there is another player in the entire history of Arsenal FC, that loved our club more than this fabulous guy, and fabulous footballer.
RIP Rocky.
Many won’t be happy that Im saying this.
But it’s the truth
Only a few years ago we were light years ahead of Liverpool & Spurs.
Any top player would choose to join us in front of both of both of them.
But now?
That’s why I wanted change.
It came, far too late
Just think of what he is leaving behind.
Arguably the most talented squad in football.
Playing some of the best football in the world
Great competitors.
Never give up.
Then think of Arsenal!
Get behind him, and give him time as Arsenal fight for their future.
Those Arsenal fans (usually the ones who believed that Wenger was still the man for Arsenal) who are being cynical towards Emery, Mislintat and the new regime, well they are absolutely not Arsenal fans at all.
I’ve loved this boy since the first time I saw him in an Arsenal shirt aged 16. Nothing has changed.
Some folk on social media try to make a case for Ozil v Fàbregas.
Quite simply Ozil is not fit to lace Cesc’s bootlaces.
Whatever’s happens now, the spirit and togetherness of our boys is showing that this Arsenal team are very much on the right path , and the future for us is very bright.
Kenny Sansom.
One of the finest full backs to have represented Arsenal & England, whose magnificent career sometimes goes under the radar.
Hopefully now on the road to recovery.
One of the highlights of the afternoon was that thousands of our so called supporters missed both of Martinelli’s late goals.
Usual excuse is “I have to catch a train.”
It doesn’t happen at Chelsea, Totts, or West Ham.
It’s a stain on our club.
Thousands of Arsenal fans did not renew their season tickets.
We cannot sell out for 1st home game v ECL winners and big rivals, Chelsea.
Look out for thousands of empty seats and PL attendances of 30/40,000 this season.
Our stock is falling off of a cliff.
RIP Don Howe, born this day in 1935.
His contribution to Arsenal and to much of our success is incalculable especially the Fairs Cup in 1969 and the first Double of 1971.
He seems to go a little under the radar, so younger Arsenal fans should learn about him.
Poor Eddie Kelly. Not too many seemed to recognise him today.
Proper Arsenal legend and top guy.
Apart from his Wembley equaliser in the 71 Cup Final to help us to the Double, who will forget his belter, the 1st goal v Anderlecht to give us the Fairs Cup 1970.
His eyes were on the ball the whole time. There was no intent other than to win the ball.
If it had been a yellow I don’t think that there would have been too many complaints.
For me he was a little unlucky again.
GG inherited a fantastic crop of home grown players who loved AFC.
AW inherited arguably the finest defensive unit in the history of English football.
What has Unai Emery inherited ?
Wishing my great friend John Radford a happy 75th birthday.
A true Arsenal legend and one of the leading goalscorers in our history.
A real team player, as brave as a lion and one of the finest headers of the ball that has ever played for our club.
How sad.
Maria lived for the Arsenal.
For so many years she was seated behind me in the East Stand at Highbury shouting continuously “Come on you Gunners.” If any fan told her to “shut up” she knew how to respond.
RIP to a special lady x
Willie Young has been diagnosed with Alzheimers.
Willie and David O’Leary formed a fine central defensive paring as Arsenal won the famous 1979 FACUP final.
WILLIE won every ball in the air, and DAVID mopped up everything on the ground.
I loved WILLIE ❤️
A wonderful pre Xmas afternoon with arguably the most inspirational skipper in the history of Arsenal FC
Frank McLintock will be 83 years old next week, and how well he looks
Neither of us can get enough of reminiscing about the Fairs Cup 1970 & Double 1979/71
The majority of Arsenal fans blame our magnificent Emirates Stadium for a lack of atmosphere.
Think again.
The Mestalla, Valencia is a completely “open” stadium, and what an incredible racket their fans make.
It’s ONLY about those who fill their stadiums.
It’s now time for the Ozil backers to be realistic.
If you are genuine Arsenal fans you must now acknowledge that in the interests of our club he somehow has to be moved on.
Those fans who are half hoping that we go belly up v Benfica tonight so that they can get on Arteta’s case, well just go and support another club.
In fact don’t waste your breath or time, because whatever happens Arteta will be managing Arsenal next season.
The years of dithering are over, and whether or not our new signings are good, bad or indifferent, we can only be impressed with the way that the new Arsenal regime have gone about this transfer window.
AFC are a really professional organisation once again.
David Dein has been awarded an OBE
Dein was easily the most ambitious Director in the history of Arsenal FC.
He wasn’t perfect of course, who is ? But he spent every minute of his lengthy time at Arsenal striving to bring success to the club and he succeeded.
So many AFC fans saying “you have to select your best team etc “
But if Emery breaks his agreement with Cech, then his credibility with his players is shot.
Credit to Wenger who always honoured his agreement with his no.2 keepers and played them in the finals.
