Coach K is a real good guy. Took all of the heat off Calipari by not even making the Final Four with one of the all-time great players and three other first-round picks.
What a guy.
I'll always be thankful to John Calipari for all the wonderful human beings he brought to Kentucky that were an absolute joy to be around and watch be special on and off the court.
The 2023-24 NBA Sportsmanship Award winner is... Tyrese Maxey!
Maxey receives the Joe Dumars Trophy for the annual honor that recognizes the player who best represents the ideals of sportsmanship on the court.

UK likely adds at least 1 grad transfer. EJ could have a PJ-like rise in Year 2. Nick should be back & still full of untapped potential. Maxey is a killer. Baker & Quickley will make big strides. Whitney & Brooks are studs. If UK gets Year 2 of Hagans, watch out.
Kentucky now has 7 wins vs. NET top-50 teams:
17-point win over UNCG (48)
8-point win over UNC (9) on a neutral court
13-point win at Louisville (13)
2-point win at Auburn (25)
21-point win over Mississippi State (27)
8-point win over Kansas (20)
11-point win at Florida (39)
The Cats are on pace to have their biggest blowout win vs. an FBS team since Louisville in 2019, which was their biggest blowout win vs. an FBS team since Louisville in 2018.
Indiana gives Kentucky an assist by knocking off Michigan State, who was No. 5 in NET coming into today (Kentucky at 8). Cats should pass them in all the rankings now. A 1 seed is becoming more realistic.
Joe Lunardi (and others) having UK in the play-in game range while North Carolina is an 8/9 seed is a joke.
Their best wins are vs. 11-10 Ohio State and at home vs. NC State.
Saturday was unfortunate, but even it showed how far UK has come, to struggle so much but still get into overtime and have a chance to win against a quality team in one of the hardest places to play in college football. This team is still in the midst of a special season.
Tonight is a good reminder that sports are an ounce of life. You can make it more or less than it is, Hopefully you enjoy the good and don't let the bad weigh you down too much.
John Calipari has now been at Kentucky for 10 years, makes over $9 million a year, regularly has the best team in college basketball, and yet has won just one national title.
Wow. Coach K tossed talented frosh Joey Baker on the court. Hasn’t played all season - and was slated to redshirt. Can really shoot it — which is what the Blue Devils desperately need.
And I could care less anymore about seeding in the NCAA Tournament. Somehow, UK and Calipari always end up with a challenging path, whether it's as a 2 seed or 8 seed. Just keep growing and let the rest fall into place.
Mitch Barnhart is responsible for UK's worst hires ever in football (Joker), men's basketball (Billy), and women's basketball (Kyra).
He's also responsible for one of college football's worst contracts (Stoops).
A day later, I'm honestly more happy for Evansville and Walter than disappointed for UK. A really special and life-long memory they'll always have now.
When Micah Parsons talked expectations for Cowboys defense that can "set a standard of how defense should be played," he mentioned young players and singled out one: NT Quinton Bohanna. "Like Big Q, I think he’s going to make a huge jump this year and be a dominant force for us."
