We got a response from the Shih-Yu Chang, who seems to admit to plagiarism first and then tries to redefine the word?!? We have proof that he also copied from another paper of ours, so he is only digging himself a deeper hole.

Out of 27 QIP submission I handle not a single one is of low quality. All non-trivial, interesting results that deserve serious consideration. That makes the PC work enjoyable, but also tough, as in the end very few will make it in.

I propose to gamify science such that one can capture the citations accumulated by a paper by showing that it is wrong. This would encourage critical peer review and help align metrics used for career progression (for better or worse) with what is good for scientific progress.

My best advice to PhD students: Treat every paper you write with the love it deserves. It is the culmination of your work. If you don't even think it is important enough to be written and typeset to the best of your ability, why should a reader bother with it?

No physicists did not "reverse time." The more accurate but boring-sounding truth is that systems can return (with a certain probability) into a configuration they had at an earlier time. It's the process that reverses, not time. #StopHype

It is very tempting to believe that there is some “reality” that underlies quantum mechanics, and that gives us a simple and intuitive picture of what is going on, and many very smart scientists think this must be the case.
