1. fasting i'm a certified fasting addict. my longest fast was 118h (almost 5 days) and i've done pretty much every interval under that, too. i did allow myself gum and super low cal or diet drinks, and i still lost. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not deny yourself -

water, gum, diet drinks, and caffeine. i'll explain why: - water: dry fasting is stupid because it makes your body hold on to water weight even harder! please drink TONS of water - diet drinks are controversial because they make your insulin spike but i would go insane wo them

- gum is just super nice to have but not a necessity - the thing that really gets me through my fasts are energy drinks, specifically, monster and celcius. not only is caffeine a natural laxative because it stimulates bowel activity (why coffee makes you shit yourself!) -

to prevent binges: the taste is so temporary for such awful consequences. a few minutes of pleasure can ruins weeks of progress and cause you to feel awful afterwards. that snack/binge will be nothing but a faint memory in a few minutes,and youll just feel guilty and bloated

2. debloating i've already mentioned water + caffeine as things that help, but here are some more -fiber (not too much not too little, too much will make you constipated too!) -LOWER YOUR SODIUM INTAKE!!!! sodium increases water retention -just less processed foods in general

but it's also a diuretic, so it makes you piss out your water weight too. plus, its a well known appetite suppressant. moreover, and the most important reason, its the only thing that keeps me energized. without it i basically get depressed while fasting, like i lose all my joy

two last things before i end off my fasting section: don't jump straight into 48h+ fasts if you're just starting off. not only will you be more binge prone, but your body just isn't used to it. please start off with 24 hours, then 48, then 72, and so on and so forth

4. exercise i fucking love running and walking. my daily steps average 15-20k, i burn 800 cals daily, and i've done running programs where i run like 9-10 km in ONE go DAILY and spend the rest of the day walking around too.

my most important point with exercise: PLEASE DO IT. its so good for you. find good music to listen to, get into the habit of walking in the morning, etc. it's so much better for you to eat like 800-1200 cals and exercise 1/2 of that (or even more!) than low intake no exercise

PROTEIN: builds muscle, also your digestive system burns more calories digesting it than others. aim for 60+ grams per day, and if youre a super pro gamer, even more CARBS: give you energy!!!! FATS: pay attention the KINDS of fats you consume, but they make you feel full

genuinely i can't stress this enough, EXERCISE IS SO GOOD. start building up to AT LEAST 10k steps a day. i give that advice to non disordered people, like literally everyone. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE walk, run, etc it helps prevent skinnyfat too like theres no drawbacks here

3. food info... there's a lot for the purpose of this thread i will be referring to HIGH restriction as a higher degree of restriction and thus a LOW intake, and LOW restriction as a lower degree of restriction and thus a higher intake

of course, we all want to lose as fast as fucking possible. i get you. but you will lose slower if you do super low intake and then binge all the progress away. so, figure out which one works best (between high and low res) and stick to it (basic tik, ik, i'll get into more shit)

╰┈➤ i'm binge prone, and if you are too, i understand - it's really tough dealing with the weight gain and guilt and regret. that's why the desperate fasting and extremely high restriction afterwards will always have awful drawbacks, which is why i'm breaking that cycle! ׂׂૢ

regardless of whether you do high or low res, you have to take both your cravings and your nutrients into account. make space in your intake for your cravings (sweet, savory, whatever) now... for a super quick summary of macros...
