People ask why I run, Our flight was delayed, connecting in Denver was very tight & the gate was pretty far, flight attendant told me I wasn’t gonna make the last flight of the day. I was like honey I get paid to run, put on my @hoka Cliftons sprinted, got there just in time🏃🏿‍♀️💃🏾

When coach throws you into a mix of two real fit women, 5:21 for two miles, with the ladies, they had hills after, I ran another mile and averaged 5:22 for the 3 mile tempo. There were times when this was a piece of cake, now is not that time, and I am totally cool with it 🤣

Watching the Olympic trials round 4, a month later, & I have a recommendation for @NBCSports . Next time, instead of having 3 men commentators in a race that has both men and women competing, you could have at least one woman, you know, equal representation & better perspective

On my run this evening, a lady cyclist passed by me and said “wow you are so fast” I glanced at my watch, I was running about 7:15 pace, I smiled and muttered to myself, I guess you could say that I am fast thanks😁...looking forward to my mini long run tomorrow 💃🏾😊

At the DR. Office during a routine checkup, the personnel doing my vitals was like, do you do high intensity exercises, your HR is very low, (in my head) I was like yeah, I think so, I mean I am going to the Olympics 😁. My resting HR was 52

I ran 4 times this week totaling 18 miles. My last long run before my SI acted up was 20 miles, yet I am not even bothered that I only did 18miles this whole week, if anything I am very happy and grateful to have been out running after a couple weeks off! Perspective matters!

Last week I ran 20.7 miles @6 :33 pace, today I ran 21 miles @7 :32 pace (slowest long run I remember), had lots of GI issues and stopped a lot during the run, I am still thrilled about both runs, such is 2020 for me🤣, not worrying about times, process and doing the work matters

I dragged my feet all day, then @6 :20 pm, Went for a run with intention of doing a mile & if I didn’t feel good, just go water our garden. Well, 11.3 miles later and I am feeling good, I finished at 6:02 pace (last 100m)🤣, I should already know the hardest part is getting out🙄

I had a short workout today. Woke up, had lots of bread and coffee. Warmed up, and realized that I was too full for my workout so ran 4 miles. Crochet 4 hats, revisited the workout in the evening, went to a nearby track to run fast, I still ran super slow🤣. How was your day?

Bummed to announce my withdrawal from @nycmarathon I hoped that the hip injury that resulted in a DNF at the Tokyo Olympics would heal fast, but as it turns out, my body needs more time to heal. I pride myself in lining up to a race with fitness that allows me to be competitive.

For those asking why he didn’t have a visa already , getting a US visa especially in Kenya right now is very very hard, in fact embassy appointments aren’t available till 2024. A few professional athletes have missed US road races this summer because of visa issues

Today was a great day, I came in 5th at the 10 mile rd champs. Its not flashy, I wanted more, but context matters. After a couple weeks’ hiccup that forced a withdrawal at 20k, I started running Sept 14th, did 2 workouts last week, 1 this week. I am so grateful to be on the mend

This article in my opinion is misleading, degrading; ⁦ @shazrinee ⁩ an amazing athlete who has lived & trained in America for several years did an incredible thing ⁦ @nycmarathon ⁩.You only share whereabouts if you’re in the registered testing pool

I think with this much success, we should have a track in flagstaff that will be open for all of the pro-athletes when schools are in session, we could be bringing in more medals, and more track athletes into flagstaff, anyone else thinks this is a good idea?

103 athletes in the Tokyo Olympics trained in Flagstaff. They ended up in 139 medal events with 33 Olympic medals. That’s as many medals as France won. #OurTownIsAwesome

Today’s 2nd place finish @PGHMarathon was fought to the finish, I am grateful to be healthy & gaining fitness each week. I wanted the win so badly, but speedy @ccrotich in a well earned fight got it. I loved getting the most out of myself by her side, a former teammate.

The 2024 US Olympic marathon trials is finally here! I planned to be here in the best fitness of my life, but I torn Hamstring 4 months ago, changed that. I put in some work, it wasn’t pretty so, tomorrow’s goal is to have fun & race to the best of my abilities on the day!

8 days after falling on snow-covered ice, while running &sustained concussion with memory lapses, sometime in emergency room, my headaches are finally going away, I can’t tell you how excited I am to get back to running & racing in the coming months! I am lucky it wasn’t worse

Another successful early long run. I had to work hard for this one, I was tired from step 1, so I ran a loop net downhill first half, then I started feeling so much better, 2nd half was great! As promised, I ran everyday this past week 93.5 miles, highest since before the trials

Set up a 6:40 am alarm to do my long run, well I was too sleepy, woke up at 9am and thought about postponing my run. 2 hrs later, I am very happy after completing 18 solid miles! Happy Sunday y’all!

Last summer I ran early to escape the heat, now I have started to run early because as a new mom I need to finish my 1st workout while Zoe’s dad watches her and gets ready for work. This will definitely be hard after waking up 4 times a night but it can be done, 8 miles in books!

I attempted to run fast this evening (since trials), 7 strides, the fastest being 5:44 pace & a total of 8.5 miles today. @BenRosario1 I didn’t cut my long run short, I saved it for my birthday, can’t wait to run 14miles tomorrow! Here is to another year of running adventures

My hamstrings and quads are on fire today after my first run yesterday 4.5 miles @8 :04 pace. Crazy to think that 17 days ago, I ran 26.2 miles @5 :38 pace & probably felt a bout the same, maybe a little more sore! Still recovering before today’s 4 mile run😎, happy week folks💃🏾
