This is THE OLYMPIC MARATHON y’all, race now goes off in the US on Friday at 5pm EST (not 6 as previously planned because of the heat). Send us all the positive and speedy vibes.
PS: thanks all for your support, through it all, it’s such a privilege to represent you all❤️❤️
Our daughter Zoe Cherotich Gannon arrived on 1/13/2021 and she is absolutely perfect. Her dad and I are just so overwhelmed with joy love and gratitude, and we can’t stop staring at her😁❤️
Happy Martin Luther Day to you all!
Fellow runners, please let’s adhere to the rules of social distancing, run alone. I don’t want to lose the privileges of running outside. Let’s do our part and mitigate the spread of corona virus,
Love Allie T
I will be back with more, for now, just want to thank you all for your support, it’s been a whirlwind of emotions that I can’t quite put into words yet, enjoy the pictures for now😁♥️🙏🏿
I am getting lots of butterflies, tomorrow is race day, 1st one back since the 2020 US Olympic marathon trials and since having my daughter Zoe, I am grateful and excited to see what this mama body can do, this will be the only race be4 the Olympics. Race goes off at 6:20 am EST!
Hay in the barn! I did my last big session of this marathon build-up this am & it went well. 1st official run was 19wks ago, I am grateful that my body held up and allowed me to put in the work. I have done everything within my power to get fit! Go time in 13 days
@ByGollyMolly12
People ask why I run, Our flight was delayed, connecting in Denver was very tight & the gate was pretty far, flight attendant told me I wasn’t gonna make the last flight of the day. I was like honey I get paid to run, put on my
@hoka
Cliftons sprinted, got there just in time🏃🏿♀️💃🏾
When coach throws you into a mix of two real fit women, 5:21 for two miles, with the ladies, they had hills after, I ran another mile and averaged 5:22 for the 3 mile tempo. There were times when this was a piece of cake, now is not that time, and I am totally cool with it 🤣
Congratulations
@ByGollyMolly12
for fighting hard & earning a bronze medal for team🇺🇸 at Tokyo Olympics, what an amazing woman & athlete she is! Also congratulations to
@sallykipyego
for fighting to the finish. Great job to Peris & Brigid for their medals as well 📸
@runnerspace
Watching the Olympic trials round 4, a month later, & I have a recommendation for
@NBCSports
. Next time, instead of having 3 men commentators in a race that has both men and women competing, you could have at least one woman, you know, equal representation & better perspective
Started my long run at 5:52 am and was finished before 8:15. I don’t even know who I am anymore, but I like this new me😎. Happy Sunday running to you all!
I don’t have words to describe how devastating this is, domestic violence is killing our women, we can’t be silent while our women (athletes) suffer in silence with others losing their lives😭😭
Agnes Jebet Tirop - Kenyan Olympian Found Dead at Her Home
My return to running kicked off officially today with 2.2 miles after a 30 min on elliptigo, it felt hard & burned but I enjoyed every bit of it! I know that the journey ahead will be hard and painful but I am here for all of it! Let’s do this!
#mamazoesjourneytoracingfitness
Yesterday was about competing for the honor of representing the USA. Today is about celebrating with my fellow runners.
Meet me by the Olympic Rings in Centennial Park at 10:40am. Let’s enjoy the Olympic spirit in ATL! 📸:
@coopsrun
First long run under 7:20 pace is officially in the books! This journey just gained another gear, I think 🤔 or maybe I am getting to excited too soon😂. Today was a great day for this mama💪🏿💪🏿
On my run this evening, a lady cyclist passed by me and said “wow you are so fast” I glanced at my watch, I was running about 7:15 pace, I smiled and muttered to myself, I guess you could say that I am fast thanks😁...looking forward to my mini long run tomorrow 💃🏾😊
At the DR. Office during a routine checkup, the personnel doing my vitals was like, do you do high intensity exercises, your HR is very low, (in my head) I was like yeah, I think so, I mean I am going to the Olympics 😁. My resting HR was 52
I don’t normally do this, but here it goes, it’s so amazing to watch this incredible 19 yr old
@athiiing
make history, Zoe and I were lucky to take pictures with her while in Tokyo. You go girl. You have such a bright future ahead, and so many of us will be cheering you on❤️🥰
I ran 4 times this week totaling 18 miles. My last long run before my SI acted up was 20 miles, yet I am not even bothered that I only did 18miles this whole week, if anything I am very happy and grateful to have been out running after a couple weeks off! Perspective matters!
My hope is that
@NBCSports
or any other media covering races in future be fair and give each athlete an equal opportunity, I never want another athlete to feel invisible or uncelebrated on their biggest breakthrough days like I did after watching the replay of the

I am seriously considering renewing my nursing assistance license and volunteering to help my fellow healthcare works manage this virus, nursing is a profession that I feel a strong calling toward. Thoughts?
Thanks
@bostonmarathon
for today!I keep wondering if I should’ve gone with the lead pack, but I was working hard to hang with the chase group, we picked up some people but the race was gone! I gave my best, good for 11th, lots of work ahead to be where I need to for
#Orlando2024
What a day, it was so exhilarating & powerful to come into the stadium with fans cheering loudly like their lives depended on it, it was an honor to finally get the win for my
#teamusa
@bolderboulder
thank you so much🙏🏿🙏🏿
I love the US Olympic trials, your dreams are valid, thats why they do the race! Such an incredible strong team to represent our country in the Paris Olympics, go ladies, so proud of you💪🏿💪🏿❤️❤️
OFF TO THE OLYMPICS 🇺🇸
Fiona O'Keefe WINS the Trials in her marathon debut, American record holder Emily Sisson finishes runner-up, and Dakotah Lindwurm rounds out the podium.
O'Keeffe: 2:22:10
Sisson: 2:22:42
Lindwurm: 2:25:31
Under qualified men are scouting for women with potential in running kenyan towns, they come in, over free financial help & coaching/pacing, then marry them, when she succeeds he controls her & all her $$, eventually she wants to leave, thats when they meet death, lots of victims
Rest in peace, Rebecca Cheptegei 💔🙏🕊️
The 33-year-old was violently attacked by her former boyfriend and had been rushed to the hospital with burns concerning 75% of her body. She leaves behind two daughters.
Such inhumane behaviour as domestic violence has and always will
@WMMajors
here’s an idea for you, anyone that calls themselves a world major marathon should & must guarantee equal coverage for both men & Women’s plus wheelchairs divisions, its very disrespectful that in 2022 Women’s coverage is an issue, this is doing injustice to the sport
Long run done by 9am, 14 miles of joy to kick off my birthday, felt good to let the legs roll a little on the 2nd half. Looking forward to an amazing year ahead. Wishing you all a happy Sunday, get some running in, I promise you will feel good♥️🙏🏿
Kids, especially girls, watch this, believe you can be who ever you choose and work hard to be just like America’s ever first female vice president and a woman of color. Today is a good day.
Happy 4th of July everyone, my family and I got to celebrate this special day with my 1st race back since the marathon trials and having our daughter. Thanks
@ATLtrackclub
for putting on a great race ❤️🇺🇸 🇺🇸
Last week I ran 20.7 miles
@6
:33 pace, today I ran 21 miles
@7
:32 pace (slowest long run I remember), had lots of GI issues and stopped a lot during the run, I am still thrilled about both runs, such is 2020 for me🤣, not worrying about times, process and doing the work matters
What an amazing day for
@Em_Sisson
she absolutely crushed it and a new American record 2:18:29 wow 🤩. Its so great when you see people overcome obstacles and come out the other side with a bang! Congratulations girl way to go
I had to drop out at 20k because I couldn’t physically make it to the finish due to what I believe to be a minor hip pain. More on that later, today I want to celebrate this amazing women and Olympians for their incredible grittiness.
I dragged my feet all day, then
@6
:20 pm, Went for a run with intention of doing a mile & if I didn’t feel good, just go water our garden. Well, 11.3 miles later and I am feeling good, I finished at 6:02 pace (last 100m)🤣, I should already know the hardest part is getting out🙄
Let’s just say that this past year for me has been a whirlwind, some much happened mostly good stuff, but also that dang stress fracture that took me out of the Olympics, now I am healthy &ready to put in the work, off to a 10 mile run, happy running friends!
Ps: we’ve a 1yr old!
People are sending me messages about the postponement of the Olympics & how I feel. Thanks for checking on me. Right now, I am doing my best to process everything, I will get back to you when I know how I feel.
PS: my partner is a healthcare provider, frontline on this everyday
What really pisses me off more about his statement, if untrue is that he’s using the Kenyan doctors as scapegoat, a lot like the Mexican food BS. Own your sh**, you went looking for it, better yet, tell us truthfully who gave you PEDs so they’re held accountable n you safe others
Zane Robertson's explanation - that he wanted a Covid-19 vaccine but got injected with EPO - is up there with Tyler Hamilton's vanishing twin and Dennis Mitchell's sex marathon in the pantheon of doping excuses.
@oiselle_sally
I cried the 1st time I watched the replay, I felt uncelebrated, like I wasn’t even visible, It hurt, then the 6 more times that I watched it, I got enraged. It’s not like I haven’t shared a lot about myself before, & our
@nazelite
group shares plenty, so much to be talked about.
At 36 wks pregnant any running is a bonus. Somedays I think it’s the last, others like today, my body feels amazing leaving me wondering how much longer I can run, but mostly excited about what the future, post baby is gonna be like, can’t wait! FOR NOW, HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO Y’ALL😘
Doping in sports is really bad & suck, I dislike dopers but a 15 year old tests positive? Who gave her the drugs? Thats the 1st person to be prosecuted in my opinion as a mother, please people let our children enjoy sports, stop corrupting them! Here for the children
Running is my job, but I am also very passionate about it, I am the best version of myself when I am running, it’s a stress releaser. Right now at 34.5 wks pregnant, I am running for the love of it, for psychological purposes and to mitigate swelling of my feet😜. Why do you run?
10 miles today 💃🏾😜, it’s amazing what one celebrates when coming back from injury or childbirth. 2 wks ago I didn’t think I do be able to run 8 miles by now, so this is a big win! Nothing fancy just slow miles. April is for easing back the mileage & hoping to be 100% pain-free
Takes lots of strength to be vulnerable,
@ByGollyMolly12
I am proud of you for who you are. At the Olympics village, I told Molly that things were going to get crazy & she should protect herself, many don’t understand the pressure & stress of fame
I had a short workout today. Woke up, had lots of bread and coffee. Warmed up, and realized that I was too full for my workout so ran 4 miles. Crochet 4 hats, revisited the workout in the evening, went to a nearby track to run fast, I still ran super slow🤣. How was your day?
How is this possible, I have been working my butt off for the last 14 days crocheting, and still have 115 orders?🤦🏾♀️🤷🏿♀️, some of them needed to ship 9 days ago! Patience people patience, I am trying!
At a stop light on my way to a trail head, this guy selling newspapers asked if I was the one who jogs by there all the time. He told me that he was a service member and used to love running, he promised to get started again soon. Day has started well I think😁
I feel for Shelby, she may not have received the due process she deserved, but we also have to think about the integrity of the sport. The decision by
@usatf
to allow an athlete who’s on suspension to race sets a bad precedent & a loophole for potential future cheats

Right now
@Em_Sisson
life is likely a whirlwind she’s probably feeling like she exists, going with a flow in a slow motion, like none is real. I hope that she gets to truly celebrate with her inner circle & let it sink in, she decimated the American record after overcoming a lot
Bummed to announce my withdrawal from
@nycmarathon
I hoped that the hip injury that resulted in a DNF at the Tokyo Olympics would heal fast, but as it turns out, my body needs more time to heal.
I pride myself in lining up to a race with fitness that allows me to be competitive.
How does it always look like I am running so much faster, I mean look at
@theSchultzee
he looks like he’s just jogging, oh well it sure was a good day and thanks all for your help. Onward we go!
I am excited to start running tomorrow; I took full 2week break for the first time. As I have preached in the past, running is an escape & a stress reliever, this couldn’t be truer now, with the uncertainties caused by Corona virus, it’s important to remember why you run
For those asking why he didn’t have a visa already , getting a US visa especially in Kenya right now is very very hard, in fact embassy appointments aren’t available till 2024. A few professional athletes have missed US road races this summer because of visa issues
Africa’s fastest man may not be heading to the World athletics Championships after all - he is yet to be issued with a US Visa…
It takes At least 24hrs to get to Eugene, and the 100m race will be competed on the first day ( Friday )
1st track meet for our daughter is at the US Olympic trials, she got to watch a world record being set, and she had a blast the whole time! Let the fun begin 💃🏾💪🏿😊
Are you fucking kidding me? Like what in the fuck shit is going on? This shit is so barbaric (excuse my language) is our job as women to make babies, ‘oh the babies they don’t wanna take care of like subsidized childcare or health insurance? Conservatives have gone nuts am pissed
March 11th 2021, after 30 minutes of
@elliptigo
& ready for my 1st official run 2 miles at 8:22 pace, we have come along way since then, raced a 10k last week 32:43, and had a more legit marathon specific 24 mile long run yesterday, excited for more fitness be4
#tokyo2020
Today was a great day, I came in 5th at the 10 mile rd champs. Its not flashy, I wanted more, but context matters. After a couple weeks’ hiccup that forced a withdrawal at 20k, I started running Sept 14th, did 2 workouts last week, 1 this week. I am so grateful to be on the mend
As the pandemic takes its toll on everyone, please be kind to one another, people are fighting different battles in addition to this, don’t expect too much from others, we all deal with this differently. Happy weekend folks!
This article in my opinion is misleading, degrading;
@shazrinee
an amazing athlete who has lived & trained in America for several years did an incredible thing
@nycmarathon
.You only share whereabouts if you’re in the registered testing pool
I think with this much success, we should have a track in flagstaff that will be open for all of the pro-athletes when schools are in session, we could be bringing in more medals, and more track athletes into flagstaff, anyone else thinks this is a good idea?
103 athletes in the Tokyo Olympics trained in Flagstaff. They ended up in 139 medal events with 33 Olympic medals. That’s as many medals as France won.
#OurTownIsAwesome
Today’s 2nd place finish
@PGHMarathon
was fought to the finish, I am grateful to be healthy & gaining fitness each week. I wanted the win so badly, but speedy
@ccrotich
in a well earned fight got it. I loved getting the most out of myself by her side, a former teammate.
The 2024 US Olympic marathon trials is finally here! I planned to be here in the best fitness of my life, but I torn Hamstring 4 months ago, changed that. I put in some work, it wasn’t pretty so, tomorrow’s goal is to have fun & race to the best of my abilities on the day!
8 days after falling on snow-covered ice, while running &sustained concussion with memory lapses, sometime in emergency room, my headaches are finally going away, I can’t tell you how excited I am to get back to running & racing in the coming months! I am lucky it wasn’t worse
Another successful early long run. I had to work hard for this one, I was tired from step 1, so I ran a loop net downhill first half, then I started feeling so much better, 2nd half was great! As promised, I ran everyday this past week 93.5 miles, highest since before the trials
Set up a 6:40 am alarm to do my long run, well I was too sleepy, woke up at 9am and thought about postponing my run. 2 hrs later, I am very happy after completing 18 solid miles! Happy Sunday y’all!
Its go time again! Women’s race tomorrow at 8:19 am & men follow at 8:30 ET at US 25km champs watch us
1st race with my baby (whom I miss so much already) at home but happy with her dad & biggest supporter
@timganman
, I hope to make this time away count!
Last summer I ran early to escape the heat, now I have started to run early because as a new mom I need to finish my 1st workout while Zoe’s dad watches her and gets ready for work. This will definitely be hard after waking up 4 times a night but it can be done, 8 miles in books!
I attempted to run fast this evening (since trials), 7 strides, the fastest being 5:44 pace & a total of 8.5 miles today.
@BenRosario1
I didn’t cut my long run short, I saved it for my birthday, can’t wait to run 14miles tomorrow! Here is to another year of running adventures
This video makes me happy and proud, I gave it my best, my best was good for 11th place, lots of work to be done to get to where I need and want to be before the next Olympic trials! Thanks
@Steph_Rothstein
for capturing this🥰
This moment chills my bones, I can’t believe that a girl like me, who grew up in a very small marginalized Kenyan village gets to be a part of a few prestigious elites shuttled to the start with police escorts many girls like me got pregnant & married at teenage before 8th grade
My hamstrings and quads are on fire today after my first run yesterday 4.5 miles
@8
:04 pace. Crazy to think that 17 days ago, I ran 26.2 miles
@5
:38 pace & probably felt a bout the same, maybe a little more sore! Still recovering before today’s 4 mile run😎, happy week folks💃🏾
13th, a nextflix film was eye opening for me. As someone who grew up in Kenya, there is a lot I don’t yet understand about the origin &evolution of American history, & quite frankly, many American don’t either, check it out, educate yourself, find more resource
