Pearly Young, 77, was killed today in #Buffalo shopping for groceries. For 25 years she ran a pantry where every Saturday she fed people in Central Park. Every. Saturday. She loved singing, dancing, & being with family. She was mother, grandma, & missionary. Gone too soon 🕊

My friend in Buffalo decided to walk two blocks home from his mom’s house Saturday night. He said when he realized he wasn’t going to make it he called 911 so there would be a recording of his final words apologizing to his family. He wanted his son to hear him say goodbye.

He found a tree to rest under and saw the light by his house. Said walking home was like sticking your head out of the window of a moving car. He made it back & called 911 so they wouldn’t deliver that message to his family. This storm was devastating. The stories are gutting.

I really needed this. Reporters, in general, need more of this. I woke up for weeks struggling & even decided I was going to quit my job. I found a counselor instead to help me through the tough parts of the gig. I say all that to say — thanks. I did need to hear this. ♥️

Leaving Buffalo was one of the lowest moments of my life… I never got a chance to say goodbye to the people and the city I loved with all my heart. So, I’m grateful for these 24 hours that filled my heart to the brim ❤️ (Yes, my food choices surprised me too but worth it!!)

On his daily briefing @markpoloncarz says there are some COVID positive people going to work because employers are threatening to fire them. They have to chose between getting a paycheck & possibly killing people. If you know of employers doing this, our I-Team wants to know.

A sundown town is a place where Black people are banned after the sun goes down. These sundown neighborhood watch signs went up in the 80s in North Tonawnda.... 1980.... and just were taken down three weeks ago. Y'all.

The reason they may have resigned is because the recommendation was to NOT pay any legal defense for members involved in protest incidents from the ERT or SWAT teams. @WKBW This sheds more light on the reason for the resignations.

In addition, weeks ago @WKBW created a new policy eliminating the term "East Side" when referring to incidents that happen East of Main street. Instead we use specific street names/neighborhoods. A MAJOR personal victory for me. I've been fighting that usage for years. (3/6)

Woman on FB said a man at Joe’s Panini Grill in Kenmore serving food without mask told her to take off her BLM mask cause she’s not a “communist”. The restaurant commented on the post saying BLM is run by a white nazi sworn to take down US. This is a real post. @WKBW
