Cruising can be enjoyable, like everything else, it's what you make it. Where else can you have good food, entertainment, activities, movies and wake up to a new destination each day? If you love the ocean it's ideal.
It seems the captain has told passengers they can now go ashore in Aruba, despite all quarantine cabins being fully occupied and 80 passengers off loaded onto the Queen Victoria. Good luck with that scenario!
All these people queuing up in the streets, for hours on end, for someone they did not know seems mindless. I bet if they had to queue for a couple of hours to board a flight they'd be complaining and running to the newspapers or ranting on social media.
Here's a Shout Out to all the teachers trying to continue education under such stressful conditions. Government not interested in anything much, only themselves. A big thank you from me.
Coward Robert Jenrick for not showing up to Parliament to answer questions on cash for favours. He should face up to all his misdemeanors including breaking lockdown rules. He should resign.
As there are imminently three Covid19 vaccines available do you agree with me that we should be told before hand which one is being injected into our bodies?
Thank you so much for all the advice re going to the theatre tonight. We have decided, although both fully jabbed and with a booster,not to chance it. Before the onset of Omicron we were out and about virtually as per normal. Merry Christmas to you all.

I've had two shots of Pfizer but that doesn't alter the fact that it's not licenced or approved yet. Still in trials for another two years. It doesn't seem to stop transmission so by having it you're not protecting others. Live and let live.
Teacher Unions, School Governors why are you just sitting back and let schools stay open with insufficient safety against Covid19? You need to take a stand as parents hands are tied by schools being uncooperative regarding providing some means for home learning.
Watched the Andrew Marr Show this morning. All the talk about the public obeying rules seems like they've forgotten how Dominic Cummings broke the rules and it was condoned by Boris Johnson.
Prime Minister's speech last night was disappointing. Once again he does next to nothing to curb the Covid19 situation. Schools still remain open with very little safety measures in place. Need masks in class rooms and social distancing. Many teachers and parents traumatized.
My hubby and I have tickets for the local theatre tonight but not sure whether to go or not due to so many Covid19 cases. We are both over 78 and feel vulnerable. Should we go or give the tickets away to younger folk?
Just learnt that yesterday Catalonia area, including Barcelona, had 1,300 new cases of Covid19 and has gone back into lockdown, and they have hot weather now. Mandatory mask wearing has been introduced for outdoors as well. We had 1,240 on Tuesday but we're opening up everything.
A phone call last night from a dear friend saying he and his wife have tested positive for Covid19. They've been on a coaching holiday to Wales. Did you wear a mask? I asked. Then five of the saďďest words. No, because nobody else did. Please people don't follow others.
As an ex school governor of many years it surprises me that they haven't had more to say about safety and closures of unsafe schools. Times have changed.
Anyone else find Boris Johnson doesn't make any sense when he talks and is hard to understand? Just a lot of lies and bluster. A very boring individual me thinks.
Don't know whether to laugh or cry. Had my Pfizer vaccine this morning. Fear of needles so I have been stressing out. I got jabbed twice as the guy said he'd dropped some of the first try on the floor. 😥😣
@GGriffithsbrown
That was a Saga cruise ship that returned to Southampton last Wednesday, after one week of a 35 nighter. I believe all passengers are being refunded. There was a large outbreak of Covid19 affecting both passengers and crew.

Pies in Barbados cost 5 dollars,
Pies in Antigua cost 4 dollars,
Pies in St.Lucia cost 3 dollars.
These are the Pie Rates of the Caribbean.
Good morning out there. How about a shout out for Older Lives Matter. For the most part we seem to be overlooked and not perceived in a positive way. Anyone agree with me, or am I on my own in Twitterland?
Bit of a turnaround from last Autumn when my daughter did all my shopping. This morning I returned the favour as she and my 25 year old granddaughter tested positive for Covid19 with a PCR test. Government said it was only old people who were at risk.Wrong again!
706 Schools now Covid 19 infected. As usual opened fully too early and will be closed too late. Mums and Dads you need to think seriously about what's happening before our eyes and act accordingly.

Priti keeps referring to her bits of paper whereas Nicola speaks from the heart. People who know and believe what they're saying don't need to keep looking at notes.

It's been like that for a while once you are of the older generation you are perceived as weak, not clued up and in some cases invisible. It makes me so angry.
Imagine if we revert back to Imperial measurements with pints and gallons,fuel cost will show as over £8 a gallon for diesel and over £7.70 for petrol.
@Concernedrugby
If most areas now in tier 4 how can the rules not apply to schools? Give the school staff and kids a break from school buildings until super spreading cases go down.
610 schools infected with Coronavirus 19. Wake up people and smell the roses. Carehomes all over again? Protect your kids and your family before it's too late.
Anyone else still got things they collected from when they were a teenager. I've still got my stamp album and my autograph collection but sadly I've lost my marbles.🙂🤐
I was surprised and impressed when my granddaughter's school had a parents evening last week. My daughter spoke to each teacher individually over the phone. Cut the teachers some slack they need the public's support.
Channel 4's

is exposing the absolute catastrophe that's been unleashed by the government privatising the response to coronavirus.
This pandemic of privatisation has put people's lives at risk and undermined our fight against the virus.
Is there any point in opening schools which will run in the same overcrowded poor ventilated manner as before this lockdown? Have any additional safety measures been advised or put in place?
In all this confusion it's more important than ever to protect yourselves. Don't be influenced by peer pressure or be a sheep. If you don't look after yourself and your loved ones no one else will.
Just read about the new very infectious variant BA.2 sweeping across Denmark and we already have 400+ confirmed cases here in the UK. Good time to drop all restrictions here then!

@GavinWilliamson
I'd have thought that in a Pandemic situation getting Covid19 under control would be the priority? Very badly handled no proper safety guidelines for schools.Resign.

You unmasked folk are acting like sheep which are not known for their intelligence. Face coverings are to protect others not yourself. Please don't be so self centered none of us like wearing them.
Having a nice birthday break at a Holiday Village not far from my home City. Who needs to travel 1000s of miles to have a good time? I've got sports facilities, quizzes, swimming pool and good entertainment every night. Even the sun's been out all day. I'm a happy bunny.
Oh no! First P & O Aurora in the Caribbean, and now P & O Azura not letting passengers off the ship in the Canaries. An outbreak of 150 + cases of Covid19 on board. Ship sailing on to Malta, lots of sea days. Still media remain quiet.
Why can't schools individually decide how they will run things during this pandemic? For example half classes alternate weeks to allow for social distancing. For High School masks allowed in classrooms.
The Government are encouraging people to work more and yet a Carer who is allowed to earn £139 a week will have to cut back on their hours when the minimum wage goes up.
@markinneswilli
Why would everyone refuse something that must be beneficial as health professionals wear them? They are not wearing them for fun. Very selfish not to want to protect others would it be such a hardship?
The government failed to prepare us for COVID-19. Some NHS staff were given out-of-date PPE, others had none at all. It's why

Some bloke on GMB just now said we should get back to normality. I think he was Alan Sugar's advisor. How can you have normality in such an abnormal situation as a Pandemic?
@MerielMyers
Absolutely not. More important than ever to do what you can to protect yourself. BA 2 offshoot of Omicron transmits a lot more so have just bought higher protection masks. A mask each day hopefully keeps Covid19 away.
