Update: Both students have since been released from police custody. One student was held for over 12 hours at St Anne's station for drawing on the ground with chalk. We strongly condemn the Merseyside Police, and the University of Liverpool's violence against their own students.

Today at around 11:45am, two students from the Alareer Square encampment were violently arrested by the Merseyside Police for supposedly writing a peace sign in chalk on the ground.
