Schrade is very interesting. Fatalis caused the entire nation of Schrade to collapse, splitting into two nations, Eastern and Western Schrade. Here is everything that I've been able to figure out about Schrade so far in my playthrough of the first Monster Hunter game:

Guys I... I think it's a completely new design/model for the Hunter's Armor. The gauntlets/gloves are completely different than any others, the faulds are missing that little sac from the third-gen design, there's less spikes than the first-gen/origin design...

The reason the whole "is there magic in Monster Hunter" debate is so common is because what is considered "magic" in the east vs in the west are very different. Something like "bioenergy," which is basically just ki (aka chi/qi), would not be considered "magical" in Japan

In case you guys are curious, these are the Hell Hunters in MH1. They go by "Black Devil" and "Red Devil" and are called the "Hell Brothers" instead of "Hell Hunters." They sit in the tavern and drink alcohol all day and call you "Greenhorn" instead of "Scrawny" like in Sunbreak.
