Leaving the NHS bubble for a bit and it’s amazing to see what normal working conditions look like. Working computers ✅ Chistmas off ✅ not changing posts every 4 months ✅ guaranteed annual leave for my wedding ✅ better hours & pay ✅ actual training ✅ 🤷♀️
Tough decision* to go with NICU and neuro over T&O and maxfax, but sooo happy I got my 1st choice jobs 😍
*only ‘slightly’ influenced by Grey’s anatomy 👀
Week 1 of FY1 ✅ Rocked up to CCU on day 1 with roller blades, bright red scrubs and coffee-induced tachy, ended day 3 doing DC cardioversion 💪 …maybe cardiology isn’t *that* bad after all
Finding out 5 min into my night shift that *I* am the neurosurgical SHO on top of covering all of neuro and spinal👌😭 …oh, did I mention there’s no FY1s??
By far on the worst rota in gen surg of all FY jobs. And yet I’m finally *actually* loving this job ❤️ come to work smiling and excited instead of thinking of alternative careers. Clearly not a medical bone in my body 😂😂

Saga of CST application ft. (apparently) lost portfolio in 3 images… oriel: wE GiVe InterVieWs BasED oN MsRA OnLY 🙄 oh well, there goes the stress of getting annual leave for my wedding
The fact that there’s no phlebs in HDU (the one place people need bled every day) really baffles me… sure makes the last 2 hours of my nightshifts fly in 🙄
