Just had a novel rejection from a really prestigious organisation saying that the book wasn’t quite right for them but they *did* say my writing and my voice were really strong and asked me to query my next book 🥺😭 a little bit of a happy rejection there 👏👏👏

Celebrating some positive losses today. Over the weekend, I found out I'd been shortlisted for a literary journal I love and that my novel was shortlisted for the Faber Academy Scholarship. While I didn't quite reach the win, I want to use this as motivation to keep pushing.

Going through audition tapes for TASTE @shelivesalone has been such a huge privilege. I can’t believe the sheer volume of people who sent something through (and gave us beautiful monologues) ❤️ feel so grateful right now to be a filmmaker and to be able to see such amazing talent
