Since you need to hear from folks in more precarious conditions, I am a Black SW in a criminalized country. Legalization would mean still having to deal with law enforcement AND still having to see clients under precarious conditions. Decrim would enable SAFER work conditions.

Criminalization= police harassment and jail. It means our methods of working safely are illegal. Legalization= we won’t go to jail but STILL can’t work safely because clients won’t adhere to our safety measures. Decrim l= we can work safely AND we won’t be hounded by cops.
