Dominicans took this Haitian music and dance, Carabinier 🇭🇹, and called it merengue. They did the same with bachata. They enjoy translating Haitian songs from Creole and French into Spanish, claiming them as their own. The truth will come to light.
🇭🇹⁉️
“I took the picture. I know exactly where it was taken it was not Springfield. That's right-wing propaganda to push their anti-haitian anti-immigration bullshit….”
The carabinier is a dance from Haiti in the 1700’s. It started during the Haitian Revolution. It came from a part of another dance called kontradans. Some people say it changed into the meringue, méringue or mereng dance.

After each battle in the Haitian Revolution, soldiers would come back and dance the Carabiner. It was a way to celebrate victory and boost morale after the tough times of war. Later, it got linked and got called the Dessalines dance to honor his memory.
@canemo17
Méringue came from Haiti, and Méringue also came from kontradans which is also originated from Haiti. You Dominicans need to stop translating Haitian words to Spanish to steal better, like you guys are doing with RARA then call it GAGA.

Milat kk santi. Saw fout itil peyi a oumenm? Ou pansew itil peyi a plis ke berthude! ?? Milat kk sa yo di nou poze, yo dim non, noumenm nou di ui, se bwa kale nou bezwn ui

We are tthe true Haitians. Our island name is Haiti , our language Haitian Kreyol mostly consist of indigenous words unlike Spanish. Our religion same. Haiti will never be Hispaniola. officially the entire island belong to Haiti. Haiti to Haitians. Hispanola to spain.
Carabinier dance, also known as Karabinye in Haitian Creole, which is traditional dance from Haiti also came from a dance style called (kontradans ) another traditional dance from Haiti and later influenced the méringue or mereng meringue dance.

I like when Dominiclowns 🤡🇩🇴 are flexing trujullio on our face, while Haitians know that trujullio killed more darkskin dominican than Haitians 😂
@canemo17
Merengue music and dance became popular in the Dominican Republic when Haiti ruled over Santo Domingo from 1822 to 1844. After Haiti's rule ended, Dominicans changed merengue to make it seem like it wasn't from Haiti anymore.
Lo que está sucediendo en Haití es una tragedia, pero ningún país debería experimentar con una migración masiva ilegal ni EE.UU. ni República Dominicana.

Because Dr diverted the water with 11 canals that caused the Haitian side to be less greener, plus Dominicans are known to throw chemicals to destroy the Haitian farmers' crops so Haitians can keep buying products from them

These colonizer rape s-cums AKA Dominicans need to be out of our island. After the revolution we still let them stay on our island. And now they think they can treat us like second class citizen by spreading misinformation about us.
@flackospalace
DESSALINES called it army the 'indigenous army' to emphasize its native composition, asserting autonomy and connection to the homeland in the fight for Haitian independence. YES We are natives to this land. And the entire island was always named HAÏTI.
