This is what Gilbert Baker’s original rainbow flag looked like. The colors changed bc of *manufacturing purposes* even though each original color had a specific symbolic meaning. I think it would be cool to reclaim the original flag in defiance of rainbow capitalism

@lindzamer Trina Schart Hyman, the founding illustrator of Cricket Magazine and whose art is featured in over 150 children’s books, was also a proud lesbian and one of the first white American authors/illustrators to predominantly feature Black characters in her work!
