Now that my dad is doing his diploma in Syariah and today was his exam, I pulled the same thing he did to me back in uni - “So Abah how was the paper tadi? 5 flat boleh?” He looked at me like he was either going to burst out laughing or kill me i couldn’t tell 😂

Slept at 4am last night finishing off a deck. My email this morning read: “Thank you, Widad. Appreciate your late night hours. Hope you managed to get some rest.” In my 2.5 years here, this was the first time I received an email like this. I hope he knows it makes a difference.

I have brothers who’d spend hours fixing my plugged sink, a fiancé who’d check if its drizzling and offers to get my car when it’s only 5m away, a non Muslim friend who’d wait for me to finish Maghrib after work just to make sure I don’t walk alone to my car from the office.

Hosted a couple of surprise parties with friends the other day and when Zack came home, he said “tell me evvverything that happened!! Right from when I left the bday party” Today we got excited together because our skincare stuff just arrived. I married my girlfriend too 🤣

I’m trying to watch what I eat lately & Ive found a new trick bila mkn nasi. Try this: JGN ambik nasi dulu! Put é sayur & lauk on your plate first. Once you’re done, baru senduk nasi. You’ll realise that the space for nasi kecik and you won’t put so much. And somehow its cukup!
