To OT7 accounts...can we please stop using the word "surpass" in Chapter 2 when referring to member-to-member-to-group work? Try "Joins," "Previously held by" etc... like expand on the vocab. They're all BTS and that phrasing leads to competition debates and unnecessary drama. 💜

BigHit was barely getting by. That is common knowledge. They did not have the money to promote BTS. You know how they got money? From sales—music, tickets, and merch. From ARMY. They had to MAKE money and they didn't make money on *viBeS* — they worked for it.

Global media is giving those 3rd and 4th gen kpop acts the time of day BECAUSE of BTS and ARMY. As it is, 95% of them debut with full ready-made fandoms and flashy music videos, luxury brand endorsements, and collab deals with global producers, artists and directors.

They didn't have payola to boost them. They didn't have a massive label to ensure they had a solid budget to create whatever they wanted to create. The western music industry wasn't just saying "oh, kpop is popular, let's give BTS some attention."
