In 2015, David Cameron knew he had won a majority when the Tories won Nuneaton. Yesterday, Labour won it with a 19% swing. I'm so proud to have been part the campaign that took back Nuneaton. It wouldn't have been possible without the help from my co-organiser Zara Overton!

Trans people are some of the most marginalised in society. Labour MPs should be standing up for trans rights, not punching down. Language like this will only worsen the abuse and discrimination trans people face on a day to day basis. It's wrong and I condemn it.

The new chair of Young Labour is seemingly the son of Gary Lubner, who donated ยฃ4.5 million to the party. I can't help but feel if that was the Tories it would somehow be a major issue for the Guardian, LBC &, dare I say, Young Labour... We need a whole new party system, & PR.

Although it may surprise Annette to hear it, the people I speak to on the doorstep aren't full of hatred at trans people. The vast majority believe that everyone, including the trans community, has the right to live freely and with dignity.

I am so so proud of the campaign we ran. We inspired hundreds of students to believe they have a right to demand better and won the most votes of any party. Although that was unfortunately not enough to get both me and Erin over the line it is a victory I still value massively.

Absolutely not. It's healthy for Labour and the Lib Dems to be competing against each other, we are different parties and believe different things. We need to push back against this pervasive and false notion that we are just red and yellow versions of the same anti-Tory thing.

I'm very disappointed to see County Councillor @GinaDowding has signed a statement I can only describe as transphobic. As someone who will soon become one of her residents I would just look to put on record that her views do not represent mine. Lancaster Central deserves better.

Finally Parliament has called for a ceasefire and that's an important thing. The suffering of Palestinians in Gaza has been unimaginable. However, fighting will continue despite this vote tonight. Now the UK must play our part in pathing the way to a viable two-state solution.

Listening to @PaulJSweeney at the NLS Conference Housing crisis panel and he hits the nail on the head. There is nothing progressive about parties like the Greens which on one hand support rent controls and on the other block new housing.
