German 5th division side TV Jahn Hiesfeld told their manager, with one game of the season left, he wouldn't be in charge next season.
As a protest he wore full fishing gear, complete with fishing rod, for his last game in charge.
This wall of ultras stickers at Mallorca airport is insane.
Some of my favourite stickers are from big teams like FC Germania Wüstheuterode and TUS Volmetal 1887
Fortuna Düsseldorf Ultras have created these beautiful replica tickets.
The tickets are part of a campaign to keep paper tickets.
The small print talks about how physical tickets remind fans of countless away trips across Germany watching Fortuna.
The German amateur football photo of the year has been published and it's brilliant. 😍
I would give £1000 to be sat round that table right now.
@gabfaf_de
If you like pubs full of old football scarves and are in Gelsenkirchen to watch England you're in luck.
The Fankneipe auf Schalke is a 10 minute tram ride from the stadium.
I haven't slept all night because I've had this song on repeat in my head.
This is what it means to reach the DFB Pokal semi final.
Fortuna Düsseldorf shalala....
If you're near Essen I really recommend this exhibition of football posters.
They're all from the 80's and 90's and all beautiful.
The exhibition is at the Museum Folkwang and it's free entry.
I've had another decent day at the flea market.
The bag is incredible, the pennant collection glorious, the hat from Paraguay and the HSV car available for anyone who's interested.
Last night I watched Juve Stabia and it was brilliant.
✔️ Local derby
✔️ Pyro constantly
✔️ Non stop singing from the ultras
✔️ Main stand full of angry OAP's
✔️ City centre ground that's old and a bit crumbly
✔️ Traffic chaos as everyone leaves on their scooter
Would go again
Fortuna Düsseldorf have released a new shirt to support the waiters who deliver beer in the town's pubs. 🍻🍻
The shirt is designed to look like the traditional shirts worn by the waiters and includes a €5 beer voucher.
I think this is my favourite Maradona grafitti so far.
Also, is there anything more Naples than an old man on a scooter driving passed a graffiti of Diego?
It was great to see a game at the famous Grotenburg stadium last night.
KFC Uerdingen used to play in the Bundesliga but have dropped down to the 5th tier.
Stadion am Zoo Wuppertal is well worth a visit.
If arriving wasn't enough once inside there's huge terraces, overgrown steps, wonky lines of seats and a massive scoreboard.
Spotting a football stadium whilst on holiday is always a delight.
I couldn't find a way in at the Stadion Letzigrund, home of FC Zürich and Grasshoppers, but enjoyed the view from outside.
Well that was an experience!
Bordeaux needed to win to have a chance of promotion.
They went 1 down. One of their fans pushed over the goalscorer. Game abandoned.
<puffs out cheeks>
How do I get tickets for Borussia Dortmund?
It's a question as old as time.
I've done an article for Traveling for Sports that answers the question and gives advice on match days in Dortmund.
@DannyLast
provided the great photos
@BVB
Fortuna Düsseldorf Ultras are protesting today against a proposed new law which could make fan marches to games illegal.
Around 10,000 people are expected to join the protest including ultras from FC Köln.
Good news for football stadium nerds.
KFC Uerdingen are allowed to play in their Grotenburg stadium again from the 23rd April. The stadium has been closed for 4 years and is an absolute beauty.

It was a great atmosphere tonight at the Stadio Pierluigi Penzo as Venezia beat Cremonese 2-1.
Also, I thoroughly enjoyed getting a boat back to the city centre after the march. Would go again.
This is football condiments genius. 🍻🌭
Viktoria Köln have a sauce dispenser you activate with your foot!
No more risk of beer spillage when putting tomato sauce on your bratwurst. 👏🏻👏🏻
An important win for
@f95
today.
Tribute was paid to former team manager, Aleks Spengler who recently passed away.
The club organised 30,000 flags and a banner with a quote from Aleks:
"When the whole stadium stands up with red and white flags, it brings tears to my eyes"
Well, this is going to be fun.
Fortuna Düsseldorf v Kaiserslautern.
40,000 tickets sold. Today is the start of carnival and everyone* is hammered.
*No, really everyone.
I took a wander round the abandoned Stadio Flaminio in Rome yesterday.
The stadium was built for the Olympic Games in 1960 and has been abandoned since 2011.
Rome and Lazio played here in 1989/90 when the Stadio Olimpico was renovated.
Easy three points for Fortuna Düsseldorf against Braunschweig.
3rd place in the league and a possible promotion play off against, amongst others, <looks at 1. Liga table> FC Köln. 🫣
Fortuna Düsseldorf fans are meeting on the banks of the Rhine and cycling to today's home game against Magdeburg.
160 Ipswich Town fans are also expected at the game as the clubs have a fan friendship.
