anthony bridgerton said “i am not a man of poetry” and then turned around and delivered “you are the bane of my existence and the object of all my desires. night and day i dream of you” all men do is lie
my lady jane is proof we need more silly goofy shows committed to the absurdity of the plot, beautiful costumes, and an amazing soundtrack. oh and more men down bad for their love interest
amazon cancelling my lady jane?? they just hate fun, hate whimsy, hate historical romance w an emphasis on the drama, hate enemies to lovers where one of them is a literal horse, hate silliness!!!!
just an update: in no way shape or form am i talking about people who only have amazon as an option, or even those who come to a store and inevitably choose amazon, just maybe don’t broadcast it to your booksellers.
A relationship should be 50/50. I topple us into a wedding cake costing $75,000, igniting an international scandal, you fall in love with me against your better judgment
so we’re not allowed to critique an authors behavior in a goodreads review without it being taken down, but reviewers can be racist, homophobic, and just downright terrible in a review with zero consequences from the platform? i’m tired.
when alix e harrow wrote “you understood, finally, that there had never truly been a she or a you but only a terrible, lonely i” and “only one person in all my lives has ever loved me, and he does not wear a crown” SHE DID NOT MISS
books i won’t ever shut up about and recommend to just about anyone
•cemetery boys by aiden thomas
•red, white & royal blue by casey mcquiston
•mexican gothic by silvia moreno-garcia
•the ones we’re meant to find by joan he
•the winternight trilogy by katherine arden
no because i don’t think you guys understand. i watched bridgerton season one thinking “meh, it’s fine,” but the absolute chokehold that season two has over me? unparalleled
my favorite genre of man is one that is head over heels obsessed with his love interest that he can barely be in her presence without screaming crying or throwing up
bridgerton season two understood that it’s about the lingering touches, the glances across a crowded room, feeling as if you are on fire in someone else’s presence, the overwhelming fear of vulnerability, and romantic scenes in the rain
hozier encapsulated devotion perfectly with the lines “if I was born as a blackthorn tree i'd want to be felled by you, held by you, fuel the pyre of your enemies”
Oh my god, so I’m at this wedding right? And the two guys next to me are having this really intense conversation when all of a sudden one of them pulled the other back and they crashed into the $75,000 wedding cake. The bride is pissed.
ava reid wrote the lines “if there is anyone i would damn my soul for, it would be you” and “i won’t believe you, unless you kneel” specifically to make me go insane
Tom Blyth and Emily Bader to star in Netflix’s adaptation of ‘PEOPLE WE MEET ON VACATION’.
The film will be based on Emily Henry’s New York Times best-seller.
how insane is it that a group of writers sat in a room together and decided that the line “now we’re worse than exes. we’re friends” was appropriate to add to a jane austen movie

no because it’s so human? we all perceive things differently and i think miscommunication trope is a great example of that (and the angst it provides is👌)
My least favorite thing is people reading a book they’re not the target age group for, and then proceeding to complain about the content encased within a book they’re not the target age group for.
Our violent ends, an explosive finale worth being completely broken by, is officially out in the world. if you’d like to read my full review you can do so through the link below🥀

keira knightly was only seventeen when she filmed pirates of the caribbean: the curse of the black pearl. you want to know what i was when i was 17? UGLY
