@LanceUSA70 My father suffered with Alzheimer's. As it progressed, he never left the house. The 2 little boys across the street would get off the bus, run into Dad's yard and scream his name until he came to the window and waved to them. It was the highlight of Dad's day. Sweet boys.

@Mister_Canada_ Quebec City, my favorite. Old Quebec is very European - narrow streets, stone buildings, boutiques, small restaurants, frequent street performances. Add to that its location on the St. Lawrence River, the many fortresses, it's just wonderful.

@BethMcDermott18 @MileMarker70 I was 57 and single when I adopted my children, then 3 & 5. I was their foster mother for 2 1/2 yrs before that. It isn't always rainbows and sunshine. In fact it has been quite challenging because of trauma before they came to me. But I wouldn't trade it for anything.

@jeremynewberger I am old enough to remember when Alaska and Hawaii were granted statehood. Republicans were opposed to Alaska as they expected that state to go Blue. Even though many Hawaiians opposed statehood, Repubs pushed for it expecting Hawaii to go Red. Interesting how that turned out.

Not my usual style at all. Interestingly, both of our D Congressmen and our D US Senator were re-elected.
