Downtown Minneapolis is dead?
Then explain to me why a 70s impala elevated an extra 3 feet off the ground is circling 8th ave blasting I Can Feel it Coming in the Air Tonight on repeat!
OMFG. Dinosaur Jr. just brought out
@JasonIsbell
and they’re covering ‘Cortez The Killer’. I’ve never been more jealous of

Daaaang. The new Lucky Cat Records in the old Treehouse/Oarfolk space is amazing. Grand opening next Saturday, July 6th starting at Noon with a great special guest in-store at 7.
More words/thoughts at a later time, but Low meant more to me in my time in MN the last 23 years than any band. I feel so damn lucky I was able to see them so often and never once took it for granted. Mim’s voice brought me to tears as often as it lulled me to sleep at night. 💔

First real full show with the new
@FirstAvenue
sound system and every few songs there will be a moment that your jaw just kinda hangs wide open. Can’t wait for everyone to experience it, especially for their favorite artists.
2022 was almost back to pre-pandemic level of concerts for me, hit right around 100 shows and these were my favorites (with the top 2 being among my all time favorite shows):
What an amazing/gorgeous night. Willie sounded better than he has in 15+ years and looked amazing. Robert and Alison sounded and looked incredible, you couldn’t tell that she was sick a few days ago. Trampled bringing out Alan Sparhawk was lovely way to end their set in the rain.
Was lucky to hit just over 100 shows this year. Sadly not quite as much travel as last year but still a few great trips to Chicago, Nashville, and Cincinnati. I’m sure I spaced on a handful but these were my faves:
