An elegant weapon for a more civilized age.
My Ogre Siegebreaker mount is here! He works as both a mount and a vehicle. I am so incredibly stoked with how he turned out. 🏴☠️
New Alliance leader models: Beautifully crafted and painted, updated sets, even for Moira who is using a standard PC base model
New Horde leader model: Fuck it give him a transmog and layer stuff on top of itself to make it look sort of unique
I was doing some poking around on this older F2P MMO Allods Online, and I found this absolutely amazing player race called “Gibberlings,” which is essentially “Three Little Dudes, The Character.” Each is individually customizable and all move in unison.
Wanna laugh at the Blizzard art team? Go look at the giant seam (if you can even call it a seam at this point) in the NPC "Abhorrent Butcher" in Maldraxxus. This is a shipped game that you pay for monthly btw
There is evidence that Blizzard artists are using AI to upscale old armor textures. This started in Shadowlands but as I dig through files, I'm finding it more and more. Here's the Cataclysm PVP Warrior shoulders, upscaled. The original SD textures no longer exist. Interesting!
Worldbuilding Wednesday!
With the canonizing of the Shu'halo seeing Azeroth's leylines as the veins of the Earthmother, let's talk Tauren Mages!
This is a concept that I conceptualized shortly after the launch of Shadowlands, and I'm really excited to see it become canon.
Var'jun in Bloodhoof Village, an NPC that serves no purpose since before Cataclysm, got a glowup.
He also class-changed! He is now a Shaman, and he's in Bloodhoof Village learning about the Wakan'tanka - the Shu'halo Wild Gods - while teaching the young Tauren about the Loa.
My biggest problem with creatures like the Hawkstrider is that they don’t seem to exist outside of “this is the Belf mount.” They might as well be a car. We know next to nothing about them as animals.
Same with the trolls’ snub-nosed raptor.
Crazy that this boss from Nyalotha is meant to be an HD remake of the Qiraji Prophets and no one realized it.
I think it looks amazing. I plan on retexturing it and giving it some more "shell" to make it more obvious what it's supposed to be.
Goblin Druids could go multiple paths:
- Botanists trying to heal the wrongs that Goblins have historically done to the lands
- Little Guys that turn into Little Robot Guys
- Goblin that simply wants to Learn To Be A Druid
1- I fully believe it’s just a “we don’t want to assign resources for it at this time”
2- IF that was the true reason, that is 200% a blizzard writing skill issue
3- Zandalari and KT druids showed you don’t need to match new druids w the homogenous Cenarion Circle fantasy
I wrote some dialogue for the sect of Tauren "Shadow Priests" known as the Ravenspeakers.
They are a mostly entirely female group of Seers devoted to Mu'sha, using ravens to commune with the ancestors and see fallen Shu'halo off to the afterlife.
Today, I drafted the terms of the Armistice between the Horde and Alliance for my Epsilon-WoW world building project formerly known as the Chronicle Project. I'd like to share it with you tonight for Worldbuilding Wednesday. Let's hop in!
@Ainastrasza
the setting is better with cartoon villain bad guys
there are no 'good kobolds' in settings like dnd, and while WoW is NOT dnd, this is just example 500 of us deciding to be friends with everyone and undercut the fantasy grit of there being evil-by-nature creatures
You're traveling through Winterspring alone, and out of the corner of your eye, you spot a solitary treasure chest in some Kaldorei ruins. Seems strange... but your curiosity invokes you to take a closer look.
Unfortunately for you, this is the last treasure you'll ever seek.
Updated Saberon are done! They have new eyes, new teeth, tongues, as well as a new jungle green color scheme. Additionally, the snow leopard fur has been replaced with jaguar fur - better suited for their current life in southern Kalimdor. They also sport full HD textures. 😼
This is the easiest fact-check of all time. He's full of shit on the animations front.
Every playable race already has every custom animation for all of the classes except Evoker. A simple Wowhead lookup can show you that.
Oh….so “all races all classes” was only so long as blizz didn’t have to make any new assets like paladin chargers, Druid forms or shaman totems for them….
That’s very disappointing.
(I mean I’m glad I don’t have to see them try paladins for orcs or trolls but still)
I made some Mok'nathal boys. Wish I could've gotten more variations out of them, but using Rexxar's hardcoded model as a base was a real pain in the ass. Good enough for me!

Getting this Mimic into Epsilon was nothing short of a pain in my ass. Modelling it was easy! The hard part was, ironically, weighting it to the skeleton of the Creepy Crate, which is very complex for no reason at all. I'm so, so proud of it and can't wait to use it in phases.
As a proof of concept, I fit the robes from one of the Fel Orc casters from WoD to the Orc player model. Needless to say, it looks hard as fuck.
That being said... Warlords cosplay patch coming soon? 🐺🌋

Bad faith argument.
Imagine thinking Horde players -want- to fight their own faction, raid their own capital cities, kill their leaders.
It feels BAD as a Horde player when our leaders do shitty things. Why is a "Horde Expansion" designed to make me feel bad for playing Horde?
@Manatusk
@Krexxal
The last half of MoP
WoD
Sylvanas being the most prominant character in Legion, BFA and SL
BFA and it's focus on Orcs and muh honor etc,
The idea that Blizzard shows Alliance favouritism is just baseless, Night Elves got some much needed development and love in DF and that's all
I needed a break from weighting Rafaam, so I made this cute little Kodo Hatchling model.
Unfortunately, my texture is so smooth that it makes the retail Kodos look lousy, so now I get to upscale them too :))))
BTW, I am extremely PRO-AI when it comes to useful automations like upscaling textures. I just think this one is really funny. I think the method I use would produce a better quality than that, even.
Spent my evening building this hotrod for Epsilon. Took me way too long, but I'm really happy with it. I'd like to add some alpha layers to the "wheels," giving off a glow, but that's for another night
HD Ogre Lord done!
I am -incredibly- happy with how this turned out. I knew I was cookin' when I put the pieces together and I'm so happy with the final product. Excited to get him in-game!
The Kalimdor Saberon are not complete without their racial leader, Elder Leorajh. Obviously, Leorajh looks -a bit- different since last we've seen him. This will be explored through gossip interactions with the Saberon and the Mag'har.
Not in-game yet, hopefully tomorrow!
Maur Raincaller has been greatly expanded.
He was the target of an Alliance mission table quest in BFA, attacking the Crossroads.
I've long considered a Horde faction of Tauren who are disillusioned by Baine's inaction - not antagonists, just fed up. Maur is the start of this.
“Actually Briarback Kraul makes no sense because the Krauls are only supposed to grow where Agamaggan’s blood spilled, which gives credence to the idea that the quilboar were never meant to be in Stormsong and were actually remastered for the Barrens warfront that never happened”
I released the biggest patch of my Epsilon career tonight, after their announcement of the Shadowlands launch on September 6th. Check it out in the Builder's Haven Discord or my own. DM for an invite if ya'd like.
The Alliance don't even have to be aggressors! Just paint the Horde as heroes, not sidekicks. The faction, too; not just a single leader like Baine or Thrall. The faction should be leading heroic actions, not tagging along while the Alliance does their usual thing.
@kraulspine
Like there's literally no argument about that. Why can't a Horde expansion be the same way? Why is all the Horde stuff always "Horde bad" and fighting other "bad Horde people/races"? Make the Alliance the aggressors and on the wrong side for once. Please I'm begging. 2/2
My lady in motion. This is the culmination of about two years of work, numerous starts and stops, three complete redos, countless WIPs pushing her back, trials, tribulations, you name it. But she's finally done, and she's finally in game. So, so happy with the results.
Bold and outspoken, Takhan Pyresong speaks out against the Shu'halo's steady drift towards loss of cultural identity and heritage due largely in part to Baine Bloodhoof's political relationships and agenda. Takhan is not Baine's enemy; he wants only the best for the Shu'halo.
Ogres can now see properly in game! I still have a small bug I need to fix, but I'm really happy with how this mini-project turned out. They have HD skin texture, too.
Anubisath remaster done!
I took some artistic liberties with this one, but I am -incredibly- happy with how he turned out. The "hieroglyphs" on his skirt are a font, and the text reads "KRAULSPINE." >:)

@epsilonwow
These winged monkeys appear in one single Blink-or-You'll-Miss-It area in Zuldazar and never again, and are never explained.
My guess is they were an unused model from the Wicked encounter in Return to Karazhan and they decided to put them in Zuldazar and not elaborate further.
Another defining framework for Hero Talents came down to class fantasy, George Velev, via Gamespot said:
'Dark Ranger Hunter is super cool. It's a little bit Horde-oriented but... that doesn't mean we should give up on that approach or that direction.'
I made the missing Orc Clan heritage banners. The Shadowmoon one is two sided!
Thunderlord/possibly more coming soon if I can find some more back slots to patch over.
My bright idea of just duplicating a mesh and moving it to recreate the Gibberlings concept in WoW was not only unsuccessful, but I also think I'm going to have nightmares about it for a week.
This week’s -big- WIP: Ogre Lord!
These guys have been basically retconned by Ogron but still exist sparsely. I have always hated how they’ve been depicted as stupid and goofy, so I’m making them big, lean and menacing. This one still needs some fine tuning but he’s on his way!
I think one of the major flaws of the storytelling in DF was the Primalists. Showed up in the prepatch without explanation, almost like they were retconned into existence as evil Shaman, then we kill Raszageth and they disappear and suddenly it’s a Druid expansion. Very strange.
I was talking with
@PepperjackJig
about falcosaurs, how weird it was how Blizz implemented them as this invasive species and they were never mentioned again, and I saw this tidbit:
“Falcosaurs are immune to the corruption and infusion of fel.”
Why are they not being studied?!
I spent last night making a proper model for Rafaam, the SUPREEEEME Archaeologist. I finished the model last night, and textured him today. I am so, so proud of how he turned out, I can't wait to get him in game!
