@KiaraStyling @lingerie_addict I'm cool with 'best they could' until it crosses a line into violent, dangerous, dismissive, abusive, etc. That's not 'the best they could,' that's not getting help and learning how to not hurt your children severely, and often times criminal. Boundaries are rad.

If executive dysfunction is hard, you can a) address and communicate your struggles b) work on it c) cultivate proactive ways to solve problems (ex. Always losing keys, have a drop point where you come home). All of these require self-awareness.

There's really no need to engage with a parent, especially, if they deny you exist due to queerness, race of partner, gender, etc.

Please practice some mental health self care post- #defcon . It can be a bit overwhelming emotionally to return home where you might not be able to express yourself as openly. If you’re regularly depressed, might have lifted you out of that for some short days. You’ll readjust.
