In all my time covering wildfire I have never heard anything like this. Reports of *new* fires across Boulder are coming in so quickly they are speaking over each other. Officers are *shouting* for crews to get to safety. The situation is truly extreme.

It's insane that we still stretch electrical wires across poles. Entire towns have burned bc of downed lines. Look at the folks in Boulder tonight. Look at Paradise, CA. Not to mention the outages every time it's windy. Thinking about the folks cold tonight in El Dorado County.
