6-2 W for the Cobbers! Feels good to get that first one out of the way, even if just exhibition. Hats off to Jamestown on a hard fought game. Same two teams tomorrow at their place. Hoping for another W!
Cobbers win 4-1 today at Saint Mary’s to clinch a spot in the MIAC Playoffs! Opponent TBD but game time is 7 PM at the Moorhead Sports Center on Thursday. Roll Cobbs!
Congrats to Warroad’s Jayson Shaugabay (Mr. Hockey) and Hampton Slukynsky (Brimsek Award - Top MN HS Goalie)!
Jayson joins Uncle Larry as one of two Warriors to win the coveted award. He’s in good company!
Extremely tough loss for the Cobbers last night as we fall 4-3 to St Olaf in the MIAC playoffs. Proud of the effort and what the boys were able to accomplish this season. This one really stings.
Ryan O’Neill won the
@NAHLHockey
scoring title, tallying 3 assists on Saturday to finish with 80 points this season
We asked Ryan for a photo with the game puck. He asked if the whole team could be in it.
“It’s a team title. You don’t score 80 points by yourself.”

3-1 Cobbers W! Tip of the cap to the Jamestown goalie, who was outstanding. Two wins and got everyone into at least one game. Call it a successful weekend! Roll Cobbs!

Lineup for our second and final preseason exhibition “tune-up” before the regular season starts next weekend! At Jamestown 7 PM. Happy to get all our healthy guys in to at least one of two games. Giving some veterans the night off. Let’s see what we got!
Cobbers outshoot a talented 11-4-1 UW-Stout team 36-29 yesterday but fall short with a 4-1 EN final. Two “own goals” from deflections off our D in front proved to be the difference. Now we have 10 MIAC games to finish out the year. The time to go on a run is now! Also, Skol Vikes

Lineup for tonight’s exhibition game at Jamestown. Allowed to dress an extra D and extra F for the weekend due to exhibition status. Healthy guys not in the lineup tonight will be in tomorrow. Roll Cobbs!

Meant to tweet this earlier, but I’m beyond excited for my new role as head coach of the Willmar WarHawks! Looking forward to a great season. Let’s go!
Cobbers outshoot the Yellowjackets 32-21 but fall 5-4 in a back-and-forth game. Was a great effort but a couple too many mistakes. Next up we’ll look to get back in the win column when we start MIAC play with Saint John’s Thursday (away) and Saturday in Moorhead.
Cobbs drop another on the road at Scholastica yesterday, 5-2 EN. Played hard but need to find a way to win. Shots 33-22 Cobbs. Next up we have Stevens Point and Stout at home next weekend. Two big non-conference games before our final 10-game stretch of MIAC contests. Gotta go!
We’re exactly two weeks away from the return of the Cobber Hockey Golf Tourney! Spots still available for golfers and sponsors. Should be a great event! All are welcome. Link below to register. Roll Cobbs!

Things end in a 1-1 tie at Hamline in our “non-conference” bout. Shots 36-21 for the Cobbers. Same two teams back at it in conference play Dec. 2-3 in Moorhead.

Cobbers pull the goalie with the score tied 2-2 trying to earn the needed regulation win and shot at playoffs, but fall 3-2 EN. Plenty of chances. Heart breaks for the players who fought hard but didn’t get the bounces. Shots 47-25 Cobbs. Proud of the effort. Next year starts now
