Our hearts break for our neighbors and friends in Oxford Community Schools. For generations our districts have collaborated and partnered in every aspect. Lake Orion Community Schools will continue to offer any support we can as they work through this unspeakable tragedy.
I completed my first week at Lake Orion Community Schools. I knew it was gonna be a great one when I saw this early in the week. Looking forward to many more great weeks in a wonderful district.

Tragedy changes lives forever. As others express their grief it too can change lives. Three students have shared their feelings through impressive pieces of art. Dragons and Wildcats as one.
I had the privilege of learning with our great Leadership Team today. We concluded our time with a picnic lunch at Friendship Park. Many thanks to these tireless educators.
As an educator, Steve Hawley reflected everything LOCS holds important: support, progress, and an unending focus on the student’s success. Everyone he impacted within our district will miss him forever. But LOCS and our Dragons are all better for knowing him.

Special thanks to Chris Bell and his team. They have worked over the break to ensure that spring sports can resume for hundreds of athletes. Testing 800 student/athletes per week is no small task. Thank you for your dedication.
