Lineart, base color, and base effects are done. I think the next time I post this up will be when it's done. Next step will be coloring, shading, bgs, and post effects/coloring. But the hard part has passed! (those fire effects killed me)

Dropping a "Feral" Niko on the timeline... In this state, he can no longer cognitively think straight and has no control over his own thoughts or behaviors. Everything becomes raw instinct as the curse suppresses his humanity and forces him to become cat-like.

I rarely draw Niko's cat form due to the nature of my story, but I lost my own cat in RL and doing some indulging doodling to help me coop through it.

Quinn has 'awaken' moments periodically for unknown reasons, and at this point in the timeline, Niko isn't aware of Quinn's Dragonic nature. Quinn can only beg Niko not to come in so he isn't discover. While Niko diligently respects his request, he can sense something wrong.

In contrast to last post, Neko and Quinn working on being able to communicate with each other. It's a big struggle when one person is illiterate and the other can't speak. But with patience and help with friends, they take baby steps in closing that communication gap.

I draw Neko constantly with long hair, but to be honest, his hair is actually like this 90% of the story. It's just I've been writing the beginning of my story, and Neko's hair is long at that stage until someone takes a dagger to it >.> Also working on designing his outfit. 👀

This scene takes place at the very beginning of their story. Quinn, being his usual cold grumpy self, is helping Niko in a "reluctant" manner. All the while, Niko is realizing that this tempered stranger may not be as cold-hearted as he behaves to be.

I have gotten to the point that Neko and Quinn need a major character redesign. I love their old design to bits, but I'm wanting to change this story to fit better with their initial themes/colors and my comfort/fun zone. I have stuck to this design of them for so long, but (1/3)

I cant decide whether i should make my comic b/w or color. I love both. They have pros and cons. Color: gosh dang satisfying but time consuming. B/w: Simplified but quick I dont know what to choose later down the road ToT

it no longer works for what I want to do. I run into alot of conflicts when trying to design stuff for later on that will happen. I struggled to make it work, and I run into bland work. So I need to scrap what I have of them and start over. But i swear its for the better. (2/3

He still wears a blue scarf, but I wanted to revamp how the other clothes fit on him and shorten up his hair a bit. Wanted to re-stylize his eyes and the structure of his body that doesn't make him so baby-looking.
