Gerard came out and said they like he/they pronouns. He felt comfortable enough to share it. He started publicly crossdressing and referred to themself as “her kind of girl.” They stopped forcing their voice lower like in previous eras. I def don’t think about this all the time.

No you don’t get it. Gerard wasn’t comfortable enough before 2022 to perform in skirts or dresses or traditionally women’s cuts of clothing. They didn’t publicly experiment with clothing until they were in his 40s. They showed it’s never “too late” to be yourself.
