I'm not a teacher. However I find it odd that a teacher's *primary* role *seems* to have shifted away from education & more toward providing shelter, warmth, food and emotional support. I understand there were always elements of this. Houston, we have a problem.

Dear friends and followers. Surgery is done. I'm very, very tired. Got lots of blood ( & urine) in temporary catheter bag some pain. Got tylenol 3 if I need it trying to get by on Xtra strength T. Too tired to reply. Thanks for your thoughts and well-wishes. Drinking fluids.
Happy New Year. On my way to Yarmouth NS for surgery tomorrow. After a 5 month wait wearing catheters I decided to take this opening. It's a 2.5 hour drive. I could have waited longer for my local hospital. Hope I made the right choice. Update when I can. Later.
We have an awful homeless problem in Nova Scotia. I can't imagine, as I heal in a warm, dry home from recent surgery, what it must be like. We don't treat our beloved pets like this. Give people shelter. Help with addictions and poverty.

I was just discharged from VON care (Annapolis Valley area.)
They took care of me at-home with catheterization for the last 5 months until my surgery.
I must say that each and every one of them, whether in person or on the phone, gave me the utmost professional care.
Yep. Thats me. Maybe this is too personal for a tweet. IDK. Ongoing issues with abdominal pain. Last night was really bad. Had to go on morphine, etc. Test results keep coming back good. I have hiatal hernia but this acts more like gall bladder disease. More tests pending.
My wife is about to make the white-knuckle drive home from work. Unfortunately, I'm not able to help with any driving as I'm still in the healing zone post surgery. May the force be with her. It's actually worse out than this pic looks. 🤞
Last night I got some decent sleep without coughing. It was almost a year ago that a nightmare of gallbladder disease, 5 + mths of catheters, prostate surgery began. Followed by a bad case of RSV. I'm feeling much better now . Here's an old painting of mine. Have a great day.😊

It's a good word. A very biggly huje word. Words don't really matter though but people use words. Important words. *I wish I was a super-genius like him. I would understand shit better.*
So my oldest son may have been exposed to covid in Yarmouth NS ( which is a remote community) because of outside hockey team. The exposure was at Boston Pizza right next to the theater he works in. The players eat at BP and then go to movies. Shit.
I love how all the ladies out there with PhD's etc are adding Dr. to their Twitter handle to show support for Biden. Love it when this stuff backfires in their faces. It's great!
Hey guys. 7 weeks since my TURP surgery. 1 whole week with no sign of breeding (knock on wood). Went for a little walk. So bright (and cold) I couldn't see what I was taking a pic of. This is part of the apple orchard. Stay warm.😊
Um...I go for my vaccine today. It's in a local church. Same one I left 30 years ago. There is a possibility of thunder and lightening in the forecast.
Should I be worried? 🌩️⚡️😈
I got to see my Mom today who is confined to her room due to a virus. Delivered a tree I decked et al. A lot of driving for me (5hrs). She looks great!
Big day out for me. I haven't been in any stores for 6 mths since my surgeries. Went to Giant Tiger and picked up a couple DVDs. Not a big find but celebrated with small wins and some snacks. William Castle Westerns & KK vs Godzilla. Whew. Now I'm beat! 😄
I'm in the hospital right now post surgery. I see the sad tweets about the families who have lost so much in the flash flood. No one has a child thinking that someday the rains will take them away forever. At least not in NS. so tragic. My heart goes out to them.❤
To all of my friends who follow and even to those who don't, I'm wishing you a good evening. May you find love, if not from others, then from your very self. As tough as it gets, try to look for the good. Take care.
35 years ago, the Love of my life said yes. I'm still amazed that someone could love me enough to hang around for 35 years. For that I'm very grateful. Happy Anniversary to my wife, Beth. Thank you for being you.
I've gotten this fear over the years that a doctor just won't take you seriously when you tell them your story ( of pain and symptoms). It haunts me before every appointment. A kind of PTSD of past experience. Am I alone?
We like to joke and tease guys who need to wear depends or adult diapers. However, as one who has just undergone bladder surgery, they are providing a great deal of temporary comfort and relief of anxiety.
That's the tweet!

Several days ago I received the proof for my children's book that I wrote & illustrated. I created it almost 30 years ago and for different reasons was finally able to get it into print. Today I received 5 copies and it all looks great!

I haven't seen my senior parents in over a year.
Was only able to have one of my 3 kids here for Xmas.
My father-in-law never got a proper funeral.
But hey I'm so happy that

get to go south this year during possibly the worst pandemic in recent history.🙄
Hey guys . I took a break from Twixxer. It's not you guys, it's the other stuff you see on here. Few days ago I think I strained a muscle coughing. Felt sharp, like I tore something. Anways, it was depressing considering I was getting over surgeries. Hot,cold packs, ibuprofen.
My surgery follow-up this morning. It was a uroflow test followed by an ultrasound. Everything seems really good. I'm still healing up. There's a chance of developing a scar or stricture that might require attention 6 mths from now.🤞
Overall good. Thanks for all your concern.
Our health care ppl and professionals really still need our support. In Nova Scotia we have some great people, but they're understaffed and don't have the OR's they need, etc .
Maybe you can't fix the system but could you just wear a mask where applicable. Little things matter.
So I just did the longest walk in 7 months (to check the mail.) This is the Hennigars Farm Market in Greenwich (open). It'll be 8 weeks since Turp operation and 7 mths since necrotic gallbladder. I have an upcoming appt with my urologist. Fingers 🤞. 😊
5 weeks out from Turp ( prostate surgery). Things seem good. I'm more mobile. Have to avoid heavy lifting. Signs of blood are almost unremarkable. Looking forward to a renewed 'normality'. So far, so good.
This mixed media poster was done sometime in the mid 90's. It's about remembering the loss and sacrifice. It's not about glorifying war or any certain faith/religion. It's just about remembering then and now. I did it for a school I worked at.
Sure, I'm getting old(er), but I don't want to be 'old and set in my ways.'
I want to remain open and sensitive to new ideas. New views and perspectives. I want peace for all of us. Human rights, freedoms, and responsibility to each other. That's my greatest wish.
Imagine you're at a funeral or commital service. Suddenly, someone walks past pushing a hotdog cart selling concessions. Another stands up, displaying a rack of shoes, and shouts huge discounts on latest footwear.
To me, this is what ads are like in the middle of Twitter replies.
I'm five days out from surgery. I've been waiting for 154 days. That's 5 months. This is my 8th catheter since then. Getting bumped ahead only bc I am willing to drive 2.5 hrs ( 1 way) to another hospital.
I don't know if I've got the strength for the healing process. Sheesh.🙄
My Mom is being moved out of Lockeport nursing home due to the smoke and bad air quality. Everyone is being transferred to Acadia University. Strange times indeed .

4 weeks from TURP surgery & doing well. Said I will see spurious 'material' when passing for at least 6 weeks. BTW, gallbladder surgery from the summer seems good. Changed my diet a bit. Lost 40 lbs from this time a year ago. I'll soon stop updates in hopes all will be well.
Anyone else get annoyed when you walk into a store and in a space of several minutes you're approached by 4 or 5 associates? Each one asks if you need help. I know, they're just doing their job, but c'mon...🙃
Caricature I did of Edward G. Robinson from the film Key Largo with Humphrey Bogart. One of my all time fav movies. Done with pen and markers.

Due to an unprecedented evacuation from a wildfire zone my Mom was able to visit today. We had lunch, watched a western, Sylvester & Tweety and drank lots of tea.😊
This is my daughter. She 'virtually' graduates today. So proud and happy for her.
No celebrations or ceremonies for her due to the pandemic.
Worked hard and has her heart in the right place.❤️
Bachelor of Arts Degree(Major: Criminology, Minor: Psychology), Magna cum laude
Quick update: kidney stone surgery was a success. I'm at home in pain and discomfort. Peeing is not a whole lot of fun.☹
Let's just say peeing glass shards would be better I think. Feeling pretty wiped. If you don't hear from me or I don't reply, it's nothing personal.
In a massive celebration in Moscow today Putin quotes the Bible and uses Christianity as a justification for his invasions. Did we set the clocks back to 1939?
Psycho set that I previously built, being set up in my living room years ago. Likely it was for a Halloween display. Most of it was carved from foam. Mother was made from paper mache, foam, etc.
