Congratulations to our neighbors to the north
@CentralLeeCSD
on their baseball victory and advancement to the State Tournament. We are rivals on many fronts but when a team from Lee County goes to state and represents us all it’s special. Good luck from the Chiefs.
Tonight the Southeast Conference will show our support of Lisa Brinkmeyer, assistant director at the
@IGHSAU
, at tonight’s conference volleyball games. Lisa and her family are in our thoughts and prayers as she continues to fight her battle.
A lot of negativity for Iowa High School basketball to start the season. Here is some positive to outshine that other stuff. Shout out to Lucas Swainey for getting it started.

We want to thank Oskaloosa for their support & generosity last night. They had a moment of silence for the Nye & Courtney families & several parents wanted to provide our team with their post-game meal. Also all the players & managers made this poster. We truly appreciate it!
It was a clean sweep at the state swim meet for Addalyn Worster.

I know our location isn’t favorable but we would love to show off our facility to others in the state. We feel it is one of the best in the state. When it’s full it gets loud. Great environment for high school basketball.
Here are the parings for the first River Rivalry Series. We are excited to host such great programs from each state. We would like to invite all Tri-State basketball fans to come to Clark Co. and/or Keokuk on the 17th and watch some really good matchups.

@jeje66
I just have a hard time believing baseball/softball in the summer is the correct thing to do when 49 other states don’t do it that way. Kids from other states are in travel leagues and at exposure camps. At some point most our kids will be doing that and not playing school ball.
Congratulations to our Girls Bowling team on being State Runner Up in Class 2A and to our boys for finishing 5th in Class 2A. Great seasons by both of our teams.
#KPride

@jeje66
We had 3 girls choose to play travel ball and not play for our softball team this year. High profile football kids don’t play baseball their senior year either as they are already on campus. Also it’s getting hard to find coaches who are willing to give up their summers.
Please come out and support you Keokuk Chief boys and girls basketball teams next Saturday Nov. 19th in Keokuk at Wright Fieldhouse. Entry will be a new toy to donate to our Lee County Toys for Tots Program.
