Today at the age of 48, I finally met the only athlete I idolized as a kid, Dusty Baker! I wore #12 in every sport I played, and Mr. Baker is just as classy and gracious as I thought he would be when I was 10-years-old... and his Baker Family Wines taste great, too! 📷: @keckery

@powrdragn Pre-school and 3rd grade. In fact, it was the third grade teacher who in 1979 who became a fierce advocate for me (placing me in the then new GATE program), and changed the course of my entire academic career and life.

Ugh, walked through another cloud of weed smoke. The next time I hear the argument that there’s no difference between drinking wine and smoking weed, I’ll point out that I’ve never walked down the street throwing red wine on random people.

We left Sacramento a loooong time ago, but the #Grapevine was closed so we made the best out of a forced detour. Caught the sunset in Morro Bay at the beach and it was awesome. “Winter” in California can’t be beat #CaliforniaLove :-)
